I tested this program recently from a 2 yr old iPhone to a roughly 2 year old Android device and it worked great. It's blessedly simple but does appear to require a phone number, which seems problematic. I was also pleased that it will dynamically turn video on and off, which is also useful for bandwidth and not just privacy.

I tested Sid out today with smaragdus. Cool program, super simple, seems secure. Can't match the features of similar tools, but claims excellent security and doesn't require a phone number.

Still not portable.
