This feels like such an intro question, but is there any way to run one of the MANY cleaner programs we have -- not just from a USB drive -- but to a USB drive? I'm assuming there's some kind of standard garbage files built up over time from from portable programs (Browser cache comes to mind, but I'm assuming there are others).
Suggestions?
Cleaning a USB drive temporary files?
Re: Cleaning a USB drive temporary files?
For example if you're using CCleaner then one way would be to edit the entries in winapp2.ini e.g. substitute %PROGRAMFILES% for the application directory. A simple script could be created to parse the INI file.

You could use CCleaner:
And you should disable caching in browsers that run from USB drive. It saves drive's life (less read/write cycles).

Re: Cleaning a USB drive temporary files?
Mass deleting .tmp files could have serious consequences if the end user has little understanding of the application. This is why it would be advisable to export the internal INI files and edit accordingly.
