  • Open and edit DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, CSV files without installing Microsoft® Office.

Watch video files including AVI, WMV, FLV, MPG, MOV and MP4 formats.

Listen to any music or sound file: MP3, WMV, MID, WAV plus others!

View, crop, re-size and print your image files: PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, ICO, RAW and more!

Plus open 80+ other file types quickly and easily for free!

Supported file types (too many to list here): http://www.freeopener.com/formats.html
It's a .Net app!
It can be UniExtracted (innounp).
I can't find any saved settings.

I think this one is a keeper!

You may want to research into this company further. Found a few links to Websites that offer suspiciously similar (same) product.

Btw, I could not scan K-Lite_Codec_Pack_700_Standard.exe (in Redist folder) because it is PW protected. Don't have much time right now to look into this further but I think a caution about this one is warranted.

Being able to open so many types of files is like a dream come true, that's why this app is here for discussion. :)
Thanks for the warning!

I have always preferred separate tools for separate tasks. In general if something is good for everything it is good for nothing.

I'm not saying this is the case for this product, it is only my hard-coded prejudice :)

According to some WOT comments, it puts adware on your computer: http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/freeopener.com

Still, definitely interested in programs like this so definitely keep us updated on stuff you find like it.

I used UE to extract the files, so there was no interaction with InstallQ. :)
It does try to connect to the internet when I start the program, though, but I blocked it with my firewall.
