hello everyone,

i'm looking for a program that has a virtual desktop switching capability but retains my portable apps like a program launcher in the virtual desktop.

example.

virtual desktop 1 - work
portable apps list
a. libreoffice shortcuts
b. freemind shortcut

virtual desktop 2 - play
portable apps list
a. game shortcuts from portablefreeware
b. game shortcuts from portableapps

the app starts and when you choose "virtual desktop 1" you can see the shortcuts of libreoffice and freemind on the desktop of the virtual desktop and when you choose "virtual desktop 2" you will see all the game title shortcuts.

when you run the libreoffice shortcut it will be like sandboxed in the "virtual desktop 1" but you can move the running app window to "virtual desktop 2" like virtual desktop do.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but Appetizer seems sort of like that. The nice thing about Appetizer is that you can assign certain programs or files to each run together whenever you first launch Appetizer. I put a link to Appetizer in my Windows startups lists and use Appetizer like an AUTOEXEC.BAT ...its very handy just for that feature.
