Haha, nice one joby_toss. I haven't had major issues in the past, but just the other day I felt like moving to Chrome, I know!

If you get "Network problem"s (e.g. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13359401/Pictu ... tfixed.png) randomly with Opera 12.15, try setting the IP Helper service of Windows to Manual. It worked for me.

Just got the error again, so it's not IP Helper. :(

It's very hard to find the cause (besides the update) because (for me) the error only occurs on few sites.

By mistake I added a word to the custom dictionary that was wrong and then changed it. Luckily I was able to undo and remove from the dictionary. But I did ponder the question of what file stores these custom entries just in case I'm unable to undo in the future. Well here...

Code: Select all

<PROFILE>\dictionaries\<USERLOCALE>.oow e.g. <PROFILE>\dictionaries\en.oow

I just experienced the worst crash by Opera ever, it literally swallowed up my 4GB of RAM in five seconds and somehow made Spotify skip/judder as though I was shaking an old CD Player without Anti-Skip-protection. I restarted the PC and the same thing happened when I reloaded Opera, I could see the RAM increase by the GB! So eventually I had to backup the "important" files of my Opera profile and then delete the entire contents (I use the -pd command.) Thankfully this fixed the problem.

I just hope it has solved the crash I experience after viewing a youtube video in full-screen. Though I put this down to the fact I'm using a beta version of Flash Player and not Opera.

A tip: on Windows, Flash is significantly more stable with 32-bit Opera, because 32-bit Opera has out-of-process plugins (OOPP) disabled.

So nice when Opera worked flawless! Those days are long gone, sadly! Even more sad is that I don't think they're ever coming back!

It's sad, being how we've always praised Opera for the innovative/stable browser.

In my case, Opera's startup is increasing; it takes almost 1 min. now to become fully operational. And I don't have time to troubleshoot the problem, nor do I want to start building a new profile. :(
