Hello Peeps

I have made Clipcase Here Portable using JPE it all works lovely. However I want to see how you are all putting your launchers together for this kind of thing plus I am at work, with limited access to the net for posting the launcher package (Rapidshare for instance is blocked)
Here is my .ini in case you need it. As to making it portable run it through quickie as a installer and it all comes out good.

Cheers

Request for the latest version of Firefox and ThunderBird to be JauntePE'd.
I'd like to migrate from the PortableApps version.

Thanks in advance!
is it stealth? ;)

Tnx a bounce! :D

VoipBuster v4.3.510.0 (JPE Launcher)

Files to be placed in the " .\Program\VoipBuster" folder:

VoipBuster.exe
mapiitf.dll
VoipBuster.url
Danish.lang
dutch.lang
finnish.lang
french.lang
german.lang
Norwegian.lang
Portuguese.lang
Russian.lang
Spanish.lang
Swedish.lang

-Its best to keep all languages;
if you delete them you will get "updates available" messages
-Its best to not UPX the program's exe;
you might get "invalid client" messages
-If you dispose of the URL in the program folder
you wont be able to do updates via the program.

NOTE: I opened and closed this program repeatedly monitoring reg entries
and other "leaks" onto the system..thats it.

It runs without mucking up the the host computer.
I dont know how this app is supposed to act and
I didnt try to use it for what it was intended to do
(I'm too paranoid to log in )

Use at your own risk:)

Hey Napiophelios :)

Thanks a lot man!

I have tested the program and it does work :D

I have 2 questions:

Do you happen to know the name/nickname of the person who made it portable?

On which site did you find the download link and -assumingly- a relative post?

Just curious about the source and also would like to thank him/her and ask a couple of tips, that's it.

Thanks again!

SD :)

It was made by some guy named Napiophelios
aka Napp the Notorious
aka Nappilicious
aka NippiNapp
(and formerly known as the Nappster).

...my friends just call me Nappi :P

I used the link you provided for the installer
and Redllar's JPE Alpha30 NB18 to make it.

I am glad it works for you.

edit: let us know if you get any errors in the future.

Hey Nappi :)

So it was you then :lol: :lol: :lol:

When I read your words "... I didnt try to use it for what it was intended to do (I'm too paranoid to log in ) Use at your own risk..." I assumed you downloaded it from some other site and posted here... But then I remembered that an old friend of mine (SW developer) once said: "Never trust your own stuff"... So I shoud have assumed you were the creative mind behind "VoipBuster Portable"... Yes I should have done just that rather than jumping to conclusions :lol:

Well Nappi, what can I say... your "VoipBuster Portable" works really fine... (touch wood no errors so far and today I have used it quite extensively) so I guess that a A BIG THANK YOU is in order :)

Please JPE ashampoo magical snap free
I found a snapshot application available for free(?) in a advertisment linked in a post in TPFC

Original TPFC post
http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... t=ashampoo

Link to the AD found in that post

Find this quote/link in the top margin of the ad.

This should help make recruiting easier :D

Direct Download-->MagicalSnapFREE-Installer

Its a "full version" install if you check the box to go online and fill in the form after you install it.
[and yes its from their website,not a crack or hacked trial or anything]
But it never tried to connect,it was just a full version.

I am having some trouble with this one,it keeps making a folder in the documents\pictures folder that I cant seem to redirect.
I think maybe cuz my Doc folder is on another Drive besides C:\
..I dont know. I havent had a lotta time to work on it yet.

note:
-Dont delete any of the language files
you will get a constant nag screen from the program about files missing

ClipX and Plugins

#41 Post by donald »

ClipX and Plugins
Could someone try to make a launcher to allow the use of ClipX and its Plugins, specifically Stickies and SaveImageAs but not necessarily excluding the others.

TPFC http://portablefreeware.com/?id=551
Doesn't seem to be portable if you want to use the plug-ins ,,.
... I can't make it recognize the plug-ins
ClipX Saves config em user directory
... the ini files have the username in it. so it's not portable even if it saves the ini files in the application directory
Download for App and Plugins http://bluemars.org/clipx/

Try this;

delete all clipx ini files in the program folder
then start the program and
go to configure tab and
disable multi user support.

The user names should now be gone
and the ini file is now simply a generic
"clipx.ini"

or just rename the ini file to "clipx.ini" and edit it
accordingly with no multiuser support

Code: Select all

[clipx]
entries=0
multiuser=0
Dont know if this will work for more portability for plugins
but its worth a try

The only one I would think to give you problems
would be the history plugin as it needs a dedicated folder

Not sure if this is possible to be Jaunte'd!

Alcohol 52% - Free Edition:

(via http://trial.alcohol-soft.com)

Virtual drive emulation is tricky when it comes to portables, right?
Would love to see this work in a portable environment though!

The installation requires restart for the SPTD driver.
I really don't think this one is doable!

Application virtualization have several limitation. Even thousand dollar software called Thinapp cannot virtual-ized the driver
