Internal scores of older applications

#1 Post by Andrew Lee »

Here's the list of applications (added before the voting system was implemented) that have "public" status courtesy of the "admin" user i.e. no other user have voted on them. There are a total of 523 such apps.

There are currently 1682 public apps in the database. So 1159 of these apps have received enough internal votes to stand on their own.

Sometime in the future (maybe 1/1/2011?), I am thinking of pulling the plug from these apps i.e. remove "admin" user support. So if they have not received enough votes by then, they will become "private" and will no longer be publicly viewable.

There are quite a number of apps in this list that I personally use, but haven't voted on. I plan to work on them a few at a time when I am free until I have gone through the whole list. I hope you can do the same too!

A lot of those programs are my favorites. Should I go through and vote them?

Well there sure are alot of apps I have never heard of
and alot I just wouldnt ever use,
but I voted for the ones I like and the ones I am familiar with.

Many I dont use any more but I still like them as alternatives,
so my faves list just got alot bigger. :)

Thanks for the list,
I love testing out "new" programs.

Okay, this is taking forever. I got down to CheckFolder and just decided to list the applications I'd like you to keep on the site.

With the exception of a few programs I'd either like to test or are very interesting-looking, I really have used almost ALL of these applications.

How easy (or possible) would it be to have these applications assigned a search code e.g. [+] because it's alot of copying and pasting! :D

Even better, here's a list of clickable links. It was generated today and has 480 apps.

Instead of "OldApps" list, maybe we should call it the endangered species list :)

I hope every one at least scans the list for their favorites cause there are alot
of goodies that will go away.

Andrew Lee please note that the link for Active@ ISO Burner in your list is actually a link to Xenu's Link Sleuth

The difference is a zero on the end.

Active@ ISO Burner = http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1120

Xenu's Link Sleuth = http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=112

I think Active@ ISO Burner is a very good, very simple, single purpose application and I hope it gets to stay.

Here is a quote
This software is brilliant, ... work 1st time, i cant rate it enough
I agree it is brilliant.

Thanks

I would like to know why I still only get 404 - not found from each of the links.
