Server disruption

#1 Post by Andrew Lee »

The site was down for at least 2 hours last night (for my timezone) due to an unplanned network outage at the host.

I say "at least" because I was too tired and had to go to bed, but when I checked later in the morning, the server was up again.

Do you have an account with UptimeRobot? You should use that to monitor any downtime.

I could, but 99% of the time, it's a host disruption, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I am not under the illusion if I start screaming at support, it'd somehow speed things up :D

It was daytime over here, got a 404 and... left my checking for another day. :no_mouth:

True, but at least you can see how long it's down for. Too much downtime and it's time to find a new host. :)
