Rename with file content found by RegEx? Dropit

#1 Post by Speedy_99 » Thu Mar 26, 2015 2:38 pm

Hey,

is it possible to rename a file and insert a string that is found by RegEx?

I want to extract Ser.No or customer no. of a bill (PDF-File) that is found by RegEx and insert and make it part of the new filename.

thx

Speedy

If you know your regexes well, I'd say you could concoct a script to make awxRename (http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/ ... 649#p69649) do your bidding...

Advanced Renamer is also a good alternative:
