Deregister shell extensions

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a program that helps in deregistering shell extensions.
ShellExView merely disables them; I'd like to outright remove them without using the command line (if possible).

I think shellexview has option to open it in registery and you can delete it from there
or easier way is to open a folder, go to tools->options->file types and delete the extensions you dont want

Re: ShellExView - You're right about that! Never checked the program fully! Issue resolved!
"Tools > Folder Options > File Types" are for file extensions, not shell extensions.

If it's a dll, try ShellDllView of the same author.

I use
Autoruns, it lists shell extensions, and dlls, among many other useful items like codecs, startup entries, etc.
you can disable them, or double-click and it will take you to it in the registry, at which point you can delete.
only drawback is it's not stealth:
Code: Select all
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sysinternals\AutoRuns
easily removeable, well worth it to me, it's one of the first apps. i load after a clean install.

There's no such program called "ShellDllView", did you mean "RegDllView"?

Talking about deregister shell extensions is a bit confusing.
FastExplorer (
http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=490) can deactivate or directly delete shell extensions and static menu items, but I don't know if that fits your needs.
