Good catch. I posted a note -- hopefully it takes.
Did you post the note/comment on ghacks?
Mine went into moderation and -- as I've posted to Ghacks on several occasions -- evidently the author saw fit to throw it out. Unfortunate.

That's exactly what happened with my comment. It's sad to see that a (self proclaimed) journalist employs censorship, isn't it? I guess for ghacks it's the 'ends justify the means' like the rest of them crooks and frauds. As said before, bye ghacks.

It's a shame, since I've always had this impression that Ghacks uses TPFC for new entries and vice versa. At least we can all keep our heads held high that we respect software developers. :D

ICTYBTIWHTKY

I recognized some of them (the portable ones) and the others, I just googled the text.

Just sent this to the site admin. I'm pretty sure it'll get ignored because it looks like the admin is the same one who wrote that article, but hopefully not.
Me and some other guys over at PFW aren't happy about our posts getting deleted, especially when it has to do with software plagiarism.

[link to this thread]

As authors, you folks wouldn't like it if someone reposted your work with their name on it. Please take a stand against it in software.
On the other hand, kudos to AddictiveTips for moving against Martik.

Edit: Author responded with a very reasonable justification for the comments not appearing:
Thanks for notifying me about the issue. Let me first assure you that we
do not censor comments on Ghacks, but an accusation like the one brought
forth needs to be verified before we take action. I cannot just allow a
comment on the site that accuses someone of plagiarism without verifying
that claim.

As a result of that verification, I have removed the link to the
offenders website. I have linked instead to the Portable Freeware forum
thread you mentioned.

Again thanks for letting me know about this. Ghacks may look like a big
site but it is in fact a site run by one individual. I have limited
capacities and need to sleep every now and then as well. Feel free to
contact me directly at my email address if you spot other issues on the
site. I will investigate them all and take measures once done.

Glad to hear GHacks removed the link, I like that website.

Do you think blogger would remove his blog if reported? I find their report form way to complicated to understand if I even have a right to report his blog http://www.google.com/support/bin/reque ... ct=blogger

Perhaps Blogger is the next path, but their reporting system is complicated Igor I agree! :)
