It may not surprise anyone that Apache 2.0 is the most popular one on Maven (part of the Apache Foundation) but I was shocked how common the MIT license is.

This site mostly looks at library repositories, and permissive licenses dominate there because an (L)GPL licensed library would be significantly harder to utilize in commercial software.
In end user software (i.e. regular programs), (L)GPL is more popular than in libraries.
