The Portable Freeware Collection Forums

This is fairly old news but, in a badly overdue effort, there's a somewhat new SourceForge site in place: sourceforge.net/blog/introducing-the-new-sourceforge

We've had a somewhat frustrating history with the site and I don't yet see something that invites involvement and discussion similar to Github, but I'm encouraged that there's some effort to improve/evolve.

i saw that it changed a few weeks ago but its still my least favorite place to download files because of those scripts or whatever it uses at the end

The new layout strikes me as really loud, with those large colored blocks and a lot of wasted space near the top.

I'm not really falling for it. Apart from that, Sourceforge is still an essential resource for anything freeware...
