My son's first web page.

#1 Post by 1002Richards » Sun Dec 17, 2006 10:31 am

I'm very much a computer novice! but my son aged 8 put this together in a few moments as a test run. I know a lot of children can do this sort of thing but my son is so delighted he wanted to share this with as many people as poss.

By the way, he's included the right link .... if you see what I mean !!

Happy Xmas

That's a great photo of the elephant! And a fun webpage. Tell your son to keep up the good work.

Most impressive... start them young, it's the best way to learn!

I'm assuming that your son used online tools to create the webpage?

If he's really interested in that sort of thing, and wants to get into further then the portable version of the WYSIWYG HTML editor NVU, might be worth a download.

For what its worth my son isn't even two yet and he already knows how to turn the PC on and log in as himself (no password, just a helpful Win XP icon). Scary thing is I never showed him how, just went to the computer one day and found him sitting there hammering away at the keyboard (Methinks his daddy uses the computer way too much!)

Like Isaid... gotta start 'em young.

darkbee, thanks!
yes James used Google Page Creator and is now keen to try NVU .... quite often he's able to point me in the right direction when I'm struggling to do things on here.

Your son will be running these pages with you in no time!!!

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year

That looks really good.
He has got a career as web designer ahead of him. :)

AlephX,
Hi and thanks. James put together the web page using photos taken within the family, some are his, some mine and some my wife's ! But it's OK, he did ask first!

Cheers
Richard
