Re: Easy-Data Mediacenter

Should say beta version then not demo version. Beta means there may be bugs, demo means you are using either a slimmed down version or a time limited version and will have to pay for the full featured version.

Oh and only one l in solution.

And the main question obviously is how portable is it?

Yes but that's because most of it is in the dotNET framework such as the text editor where as the others are all self contained.

Re: BZR Player

Ok if you have niche formats you want to play but pointless for the masses who all pretty much just use mp3, aac, wma or ogg

Re: PRISM

I like how people are up in arms over PRISM despite the fact it's been known for years that governments are doing this but at the same time they are happy to post their entire life and enough data for a full psychological evaluation on Facebook and are happy to have Google track everything they do a...

Re: Why use a password manager?

Again it's a fine line. Who can say how many criminals/terrorists have been caught because of this snooping? And how many of them would of been monitored if we only monitored people we had reason to suspect?

Re: Why use a password manager?

Would you trust the public to actually make an intelligent choice? The herd mentality is to go with whatever is the current big news story or whatever crap they have recently been fed.

Re: Why use a password manager?

I thought everybody knew that nearly all electronic data is monitored from faxes to emails? We just used to think the system doing it was called something Echelon or something. The simple choice is we can either live with the snooping or live with more terrorism/crime. It's a fine line.

Re: Is it time to remove admin "support" for older TPFC entr

As to my comment about older entries being checked how about you allow some of the more trusted, long term users, the option to be randomly offered links to older entries, say those that haven't been modified for a year or two, so they can check the entries to see if the sites still exist and the do...

Re: RAR5 is coming

Exactly. With a zip file you know that 99.99% of people will be able to open it. 7z seems to be the method of choice for self extracting archives these days. I think rar is always going to be the good one that nobody actually uses.

Re: RAR5 is coming

At the end of the day though everyone is still going to use zip for anything mainstream just as they use mp3. Only time I have seen rars used in public is when they have broken movies down on torrent sites.
