Re: GooglePasswordDecryptor

So my answer is: if a screenshot has something like this warning, it is better to be avoided (even if it means nothing in a court of law - and, by the way, making my own screenshot of their screenshots page makes their warning null). Yeah, and I'd rather not Andrew got a any nastygrams from Softped...

When I red your post, I compiled it.

Glad it does what you want.
I think Spicydog is suggesting you setup a home page for it. If you don't want to mess with it, that's something we can do for you.

Whats users thoughts on copying screenshots from authors websites? I think we're safe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot "Regardless of copyright, screenshots may still be legally used under the principle of fair use in the U.S. or fair dealing and similar laws in other countries." ...

Re: Magic Formation

Really cool program with a lot of promise but very buggy and it doesn't look like the developer is still working on it. Good: * Very easy to execute (the small circle with the mouse was great) * Animation, editing of files, etc. all easy and smooth. Bad: * Options menu needs some help from somebody ...

Thanks for all that testing. I updated the current entry and linked to this thread.

Re: SCR (text file search and replace) added to DB

Stupid me. I've been using this app for ages, I just assumed it was portable. It creates the following keys: HKCR\Folder\shell\Replace with SCR\command HKLM\Software\SoftCentral\SCR Can someone please remove it from the DB. I just tested this out and noticed that it puts "Replace with SCR"...

Re: A simple keyboard volume control

Does anyone have an opinion on which hotkeys I chose to use? Any reasons, conflicts etc. why it would be better to use a different set? Thanks. I like what you have set now and think you could stick with that without too many problems. However, if you're hoping to put this program on a lot of peopl...

Re: Pale Moon

The author has edited the sources a bit but hasn't published the modified headers and makefiles. Pale Moon is within the grey area between open and closed source. I think that's really shady but that doesn't appear to be required of them. From the MPL (http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/MPL-1.1.html): Any ...

I still don't get it: is it good or bad this Oracle takeover? For a home user point of view. Will OpenOffice (or whatever the name will be) remain free to use? Will the forks be allowed to continue their developing? I think the analysis at the top will be "Sun got into the mess it was in by gi...

A portable grammar checker

I went about editing the Abiword entry today and found that the program has come a very long way; I really look forward to trying out the collaborative writing tools. However, I saw grammar checking in AbiWord listed on the PortableApps site: http://portableapps.com/apps/office/abiword_portable list...

So the feature set on this program expanded pretty quickly. It seems you have to edit the INI file for most of the program's functions, but lord is it pretty. I updated the screenshot, although I think the program description and categories need to be updated. I'm a little surprised that a program T...
