Re: PeStudio
I saw that, but I don't want to send a message just to get an answer like it costs 300 USD or something else... A little more info would have been nice. You were not far off... 2016-05-14_110527.jpg Details at https://www.winitor.com/tools/pestudio/current/pestudio_standard_vs_pro_versions.pdf (PDF...

Re: AxCrypt2Go & AxDecrypt
Oh hey Svante! Thank you for all the work you put in AxCrypt. It's been really useful for all the years I had used it. These days though I just went towards using encrypted volumes and devices so I use it a lot now. But good luck with the product! Thanks for pointing out the source code for the vers...

Re: AxCrypt2Go & AxDecrypt
Haha naw. I don't consider him greedy and rougish. There's nothing wrong with wanting to make money off of the software he wrote. With version 2 anyways, he rewrote the entire software from scratch and this direction was something he was talking a bit about in his blog many years ago iirc so it wasn...

Re: Notepad2-mod
@Enternal I deal with text documents containing URLs daily and URL detection is indispensable for me. My default text editor is AkelPad (it looks very simple but it can be extended via plug-ins), for more sophisticated tasks I use Notepad++ and from time to time- some others (BDV Notepad, EditBone,...

Re: Notepad2-mod
@Midas A shame, really, because, along with case transformation and time-stamping, URL activation is part of the trinity of mandatory features I look for in any text editor. :( I totally concur with you, I would also add tabs, minimization to tray and portability, that's why I don't use the cute-lo...

@ smaragdus
I will take a look at jaBuT then since I don't like software that relies on Java but that's just me haha.
@ I am Baas
No it does not look like that although that's probably just more like an encoding issue depending on the editor. Anyway, I have attached it to this post.

Re: FreeFileSync
@ I am Baas Oops sorry for the late reply. Been a bit busy. The contents of install.dat is unreadable so I will give you the Hex contents instead. 03 C6 5B EC 03 C6 5B EC From what I tested, it does not matter what the contents actually are as long as it's the same length of 8 bytes. In general, I d...

Re: FreeFileSync
@smaragdus Basically for 8.0, the "install.dat" file can only be made through the installer (generated through programming on-the-fly) therefore you can't find it when you try to extract it through other methods since it's not pre-made and packaged. Anyways it would be good if you can find...

Re: FreeFileSync
So it's a weird problem. If you don't hit the "Finish" button at the end of the installer, it won't create the "install.dat" file which would then give you that the "Installation files are corrupt". Basically make sure you go completely through the installer and then &q...

Re: fHash
Pretty nice program! I like the fact that the results it generates are all text. Makes it very quick and easy to drag and file and then copy the results that are already in text and clearly labeled. So thanks for this! Btw, the Website link is broken. It's pointing to http://www.portablefreeware.com...

Re: MultiHasher
Yep that is the support forum where you can report bugs. When I was first there, there were quite a few more threads but those threads were all deleted too. Definitely does not give me much confidence for the support of this software. They also have a specific email to send bug reports to (bugs@abel...

Updated to 0.97.5737. Looks like this software is not interesting enough for it to formally appear in the database for everyone yet... Well I guess most people don't have much use for something this advanced haha.

Re: MultiHasher
Just as a note of warning, this program has two bugs that have not been fixed and one of them is a major bug. The first bug is: Make a new directory with some files in it. Drag the folder into MultiHasher and make MD5 hash calculations for all those files. Save the hash list in MultiHasher own hash ...
