Google Code is going, going .... (will be) gone.
I am a little surprised that it didn't happen sooner. GitHub is used so much by Google these days, including their recent transition of Guava (a popular Java framework). It was inevitable that sooner or later this revenue stream method would eventually run its course. I know it's not Martin's fault ,but if ads weren't so obtrusive, then there wouldn't have been any need for these ad blockers. The fact he or anyone has been able to make a living for such a long time ...

I like the F-Secure in regards to determining whether a site is harmful or not, without the need for a browser extension. Though it still nothing compared to StartPage and DDG in terms of privacy.

I just came across the Ghacks review today and decided to quickly test it. The installer has a standalone option, though I haven't really tested whether or not it's truly Portable to its counterpart. The impression I get is it's kind of meant to mimic what Opera was before version 15 came into play,...

The whole issue of it not being Portable anymore doesn't bother me, when convenience trumps Portability. I have found syncthing to be very difficult to implement on my network.
