Re: Removing Windows 95/98/ME?

I for one think those OS mentions have historical value so I'd leave them as they are -- but I find it would be alright to no longer include them in new entries, as a deprecation measure, I guess. Re: Telegram - cross platform, secure chat

BTW, Durov ( Telegram 's founder) posted this last Wednesday: Really excited about the recently launched web versions of Telegram -- https://webk.telegram.org and https://webz.telegram.org 🎉 They are light years ahead of what any other social media service has to offer on the web: fast, slick, fluid...

Re: Biniware Run [DotNET launcher]

Something like this ? https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/download/file.php?id=1716 Exactly! 8) That would be great, at least for me personally. 5. As another suggestion, maybe you could have small tabs, for further categories and icons. (See examples from old TPFC posts of mine at https://www....

Re: Biniware Run [DotNET launcher]

Nice, thanks. 8)

A request for the future: could Biniware Run also possibly include a toolbar setup? So instead of a menu layout, the app would show a (customizable) mini-toolbar with icons, that gets hidden when something is run...

Hi, dmiranda and welcome -- finally... ;)

Though likely, I couldn't find my request for drag'n'drop; maybe in a different topic?

And thanks for bringing Gifsicle to the community attention.

Thanks for the tip, zorro. 8)

Do you happen to know of any online source for these files? A unified package, perhaps?

Google/Youtube popups

As a privacy counter-measure, I have my browser set to aggressively clear non allow-listed cookies -- doing this via browser options and " Self-Destructing Cookies ", " I don't care about cookies " and " uBlock Origin [/b]" (included with AdNauseam ) Firefox addons. As an aggravating side-effect, I'...

UXTheme... and shady online pages

I like to have my Windows (lightly) themed for better enjoyment and readability if possible. After all, you're liable to spend whole years looking at it. And, IMHO, the best themes are those with a touch(!) of retro flavor, harking back to the Windows XP UX. What can I say, I'm weird like that... Bu...

Re: Online privacy and a new social credit score

Quick note for a read I found interesting along a related line of reasoning, encompassing the taming of our agency as private computer owners: Back in the late 90s, I worked at a university. I had a 386 on my desk for a workstation -– not a powerful computer even then. But I put the boa webserver on...
