The -P worked fine but the window looks strange. All the checkboxes are solid black. Weird.I am Baas wrote:UE works fine. Run dclean.exe with the -p command line switch. It will create dcsettings.ini file in the application folder and will not write in %APPDATA%
Can post a screenshot if needed.

Re: A simple keyboard volume control
No problems, no crash, no loss of functionality. Buttons very responsive. No delay and no confusion if I press mute on and off repeatedly. I couldn't get it to work with my mouse wheel, but that may be my unusual setup: tested on WinXP SP3 on a Mac under VMware. The only negative I can see is that t...

Re: Pale Moon
Lifehacker gave it a strong review and it looks like its just a recompile of the browser using a C compiler optimized for modern operating systems / processors. I'm a little disappointed they didn't go with a fully GPL'd license like IceCat (http://www.gnu.org/software/gnuzilla/) but I realize that'...

Thanks SYSTEM and Napiophelios, as well as DMG for his spam report. Makes this a lot easier.

Disk Cleaner V1.8.1795
The latest version is an installer, not the self-contained EXE described in the entry http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=418 There's been a lot of additions to the program since it was first posted: http://www.diskcleaner.nl/article/cat/news Edit: Tested with 7zip and Universal Extract wit...

Re: Tapin Radio
Great program with lots of features, seems to work well, and has lots of good options. Seems to combine the quick search method of RadioSure with the smooth user interface of Screamer. Additionally, radio stations have the location attached to them so you can choose between radio stations and select...

Firefox Password Recovery / Audit
After testing FirePasswordViewer (http://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=1794) I became interested in finding out if it was in fact possible to crack Firefox passwords. The author of FirePassworViewer also created a tool for doing just this: FireMaster (http://securityxploded.com/firemaster.ph...

Re: Free Word Frequency Counter
This might sound to some visitors like a meaningless program but I can think of several uses: Editing your own documents to make sure you don't use a word too often For literary purposes such as where you can count how many times Anthony says "honorable man" in Shakespeare's Julius Ceasar....

Doesn't seem to be a program for casual users. There's a lot of internal Windows information I don't recognize and not much in the way of documentation or help. Is anyone using this to test portability?

Re: Argente Utilities
Wow. An absolute ton of basic tools and capabilities in only 10 megs of system space: that's hard to beat. However, I can't really find anything that is completely unique and or something that's not already here and better on PFW. I can't seem to find any reviews that suggest, for example, that thei...
