Re: Discord
Sounds juicy, want story.
I know on their subreddit, the mods their will delete anything that's even remotely negative about them, that should tell you something about them.

Re: Feature request: Adware tag
Another tag worth considering if one doesn't already exist for it would be "telemetry" or "dials home" or similar wording, in this day and age everyone seems to want to collect "something" from you, calling it telemetry as if that makes it okay... No thanks. But this is...

Re: Feature request: Adware tag
I see no need for this, it's change for the sake of change. Adware is a well known term and goes back a looooong way, no different then Shareware or any of the other XXXX-ware words when describing software, might as well change the sites name too then from "Freeware" because the "war...

Re: What's our policy regarding abandonware?
Yeah I noticed later it was because of a firefox addon I use that skips redirects... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -redirect/
Guess it doesn't play nice with archive.org's redirections, but that link still points to porn otherwise.

Re: PSA: Uninstall Avast Free
"And you can also disable Firefox telemetry in settings if you want." That hardly matters, as I'm sure there are ways to disable what Avast collects as well. The point is, your mom, grandma, and avarage joe by default are getting their data collected by others like Mozilla, am I defending ...

Re: PSA: Uninstall Avast Free
The data is anonymized according to Avast which means that personally identifiable information such as a user’s IP address or email addresses are removed from the data before it is sold... While that looks good on paper, methods exists to de-anonymize data. Funny I'm not seeing any cries to uninstal...

Re: Nominate the best new portablefreeware of 2018-2019
My vote goes to WizFile, its just a better "Everything". Looking at the rest... I can't even pick a 2nd and 3rd choice, while some of those NirSoft utilities are useful, they are extremely niche and nothing on that list has made it into my "daily life" so to speak. Seems like a w...
