My name suggestion: "Firefox Add-on Compatibility Editor"; it does what it says on the label and you get an easy to remember acronym: FACE... ;)

Re: How do you deal with window positions?

Tested Desklite and it seems to work as described. Thanks. :)

EDIT: Although last developed in 1998, Desklite seems to be able to interact with x64 program windows...

EDIT2: Autosizer current version is 1.71 (Warning: not portable, plus installer autolaunches once finished).

Re: UltraSurf v 8.9

I won't engage in flaming, so this will be my end rebuttal... Let me ask again if you have really read my warning post? Re: Firefox addon updater

So disabling the compatibility check would make it install even if some parts don't work which to me makes more sense than have to run every addon you want through a program that just changes the install.rdf I don't want to disable all compatibility checks, doing that will insure I remain in outdat...

Re: How do you deal with window positions?

Late to the party as always, but couldn't pass by without mentioning that Pitaschio (http://pitaschio.ara3.net/; v1.20 has been discussed at http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=8849#p8849 and seems to be portable now...) has a setting that will constrain any program windows to the...

Re: Get portable software working in Ubuntu Linux

[...] Although this site is Windows-only, part of my desire to participate here is that its actively promoting software that works just fine on non-Windows systems. By virtue of promoting a self-contained, portable design, we're appealing to a much broader group. I'd vouch for that, too. Tha...

Re: Firefox addon updater

Unlike said option, this utility will let you fine tune what addons are exempted from version checking That makes no sense given you are only going to be installing the addons you want in which case you will want then all to work with your version of Firefox. Please grant me the benefit of doubt......

Wouldn't it be easier just to either disable compatibility checking manual via about:config or by installing the compatibility reporter extension? Re: TPFC down for the whole of yesterday

Just got word of this (ugly) affair. VPSLink actions are totally unacceptable, as their loyalty should be with their paying customers, not with some foggy -- and reportedly incompetent -- overseas malware checker. Let me repeat it: that is no way to treat a customer. Period! Have no suggestio...
