Re: SoftPerfect WiFi Guard
Maybe a silly question, but if I block an intruder, what happens the next time when he tries to connect. Wouldn't he get a new IP that isn't blocked? Hi Kea, If your referring to webfork's comment "block them on the router", I'm sure he is/was using DHCP server's 'MAC Address Filtering', ...

Re: Cathy disc cataloging tool, now portable.
The 2.29 seems OK, it's when rolling back to 2.28 it did not load the indexed data/file that 2.29 had created.

Re: Cathy disc cataloging tool, now portable.
Food for thought: Since Cathy has always worked for me over the years (and for backwards compatibilty); I decided to remove the MVCP runtime binaries and restore the previous (2.28.3) version. The two drives that I had scanned while testing did not show in the Catalogs list, upon checking Cathy's fo...

Re: Cathy disc cataloging tool, now portable.
So no one tried version 2.29 yet? I really need to know if the problem is at my end! I tested 2.29 with the binaries extracted from the MVC++ R-D pkg the author lists on his site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 and the binaries from the MVC++ R-D SP1 pkg y...

Re: New designs for TPFC by tproli
No, it was the easiest way to add this feautre. Do you think it should be visible all the time? I think it would be more intuitive to show the "Open in ..." when the image is collapsed at the least. On a mobile device, e.g. Tablet (touchscreen), there's no easy way to see/show the hover t...

Re: Video To Video
This program has been updated since being added to TPFC, but the update process (and install for that matter) is a bit awkward. To install, you place the self-extracting exe (vvportable.exe) in and empty folder (required/mandatory) and all files AND the actual program exe are extracted, you can then...

Re: New TPFC website design by tproli is now live!
Search is not handling spaces correctly on a match: e.g. place video to video in the search bar, returns/matches video and to - only when wrapping the query in quotes (e.g. "video to video") returns/matches the full string. I just checked/searched video to video (no quotes) at Softpedia an...

Re: New TPFC website design by tproli is now live!
Hi, Im back and here to apologize for my earlier comments. The interface I was looking at in Firefox was horrible, so I looked at it through IE and it was totally different. I obviously then cleared my Ffox cache, and it is great. Yes it is a great improvement on the old site, congratulations and a...

Re: New TPFC website design by tproli is now live!
Visited state: it was present in the early test site, then I asked about it in the forum if someone needs it and as no one needed, I removed. Would it be satisfactory if only the sidebar links would have visited state? Or do you think every link on the site? @tproli, Thanks for your consideration, ...

Re: New TPFC website design by tproli is now live!
@tproli, I could/should have been a little clearer; I'm not having issues with hyperlinks per se, but instead the 'visited' state/appearance. E.G., Glancing over to the 'RECENT COMMENTS', 'RECENT FORUM POSTS' does not show which links I have already visited. I always used this 'visited' appearance/c...
