Re: Aegisub 2.1.8
I've updated the entry for Aegisub, as i stumbled upon it. It is now at version 3.2.0. i've also added a note i found at the application's download page, which states that "Note: The 64-bit version is not recommended even on 64-bit versions of Windows. It does not include support for Avisynth, ...

Re: Pale Moon speed compared to Firefox (result: FF is faste
Well said, John. If what you (a user) is looking for is speed, you'd better stick to the default choice -Firefox- and avoid the alternatives. The reason I'd focused on speed is that the most common reason people cite when they've asked us to make Pale Moon available in the PortableApps.com App Stor...

Re: Pale Moon speed compared to Firefox (result: FF is faste
In theory, Pale Moon 24.x could indeed be faster than Firefox 24.x due to the decisions to exclude certain hardware support and features in the name of speed. But that would be negated just 6 weeks later when Firefox 25 gets some new Javascript engine, DOM, or canvas improvement that doesn't land i...

Re: New search options added for login users

Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
Pretty basic so far. I REALLY hope they'll restore most -if not all of- v.12's functionality. Most likely Opera Software hasn't yet even fully decided which features will be included in Opera 15. Seems like that. From their dev blog ( http://my.opera.com/ODIN/blog/2013/05/28/a-first-peek-at-opera-15...

Re: Chromium Portable v26.0.1410.5 won't run.
it's not running under winxp. Tried to launch chrome.exe, but got an error saying "chrome.exe is not a valid win32 application".
Previous version runs fine.

this happened to me, too. Seems like the new version wasn't compiled for x32 systems. Try the previous build, works fine

Re: Is Opera 12 standard portable or not ?
this seems interesting : http://bluenotetechblog.com/think-one-fewer-browser-means-less-work-think-again/ Opera software is abandoning its homegrown rendering engine in favor of the open source WebKit rendering engine. Many developers seem to think this means one fewer browser to test in, but unfort...

Re: Is Opera 12 standard portable or not ?
I guess it's a good thing. Opera's usefullness combined with webkit's compatibility can only be perceived as a good thing. They may even increase their user base. I only hope the browser will remain fast & light as it is today.
