Re: Added "Best of" page

I have updated the "Best of" page with the award stickies. Comments/feedback welcome! Neat :) I notice the typeface for the year was changed, was there any problem you encountered with the steps or was it from wanting the different dual year style (ie: 'YYYY-YY') and not knowing how to ch...

Re: MediaHuman Audio Converter (Qt & FFmpeg based audio utility)

Well, their YouTube Video Downloader can extract the original audio without conversion, but it's not free. Also Clipgrab can do that also, but does not do bulk downloading. Any free tool that it does? youtube-dl supports all of this but it's CLI only. Some front-ends are available for it if it's ea...

Re: Software promotions

I mean you stated above it was your other account before saying it was a joke after billon's reaction so idk. I'm not really concerned either way though, like I said, it was just curious.

Re: Added "Best of" page

They are great! Could you pls upload the SVG (or whatever vector format) for these so that I can update the years? Thanks! Check PM for details. A GIF (click to play) of how to edit the label and year in a text editor, as described in the PM: Example of how to hide or show the label and edit the ye...

Re: Added "Best of" page

Now if someone would sketch up an award sticker, I'm sure program devs would really appreciate that... I'm not sure how many devs utilize award graphics these days but here are some ideas for consideration. First being for the winner, the second among the nominees. Have them vectorized with editabl...

Just noticed a small thing: the 2017 entries all have a quote character at the end of their URLs. Doesn't seem to affect returning the page but thought I'd mention it.

Re: MakeMKV

That's the one you can change through the program's preferences in the general tab. Probably the other one is C:\Videos or something which is the output directory? It's definitely that same setting but for me it doesn't store that data there (also my video output directory is an entirely different ...

Re: MakeMKV

Yes but you can change that directory from program's settings On my up to date install the 'data' directory defined in the settings is different from the directory being currently used by MakeMKV for its hashes, dumps and such. Read also a topic on the official forums which appeared to make the dis...

Re: MakeMKV

Great program. Status: Not portable - writes to HKCU\Software\MakeMKV and if you enable logging leaves a text file at User Profile From what I can tell even without enabling logging MakeMKV uses a fixed program data location in the User directory, where it stores hashes, dumps and such, while a sepa...

Re: youtube-dl - multi-site media/video downloader [mature, active updates]

youtube-dl does not get an update every day. From the changelog we can see that the most recent updates have been on January 1, January 15 and January 24. In other words, about every two weeks. You're correct. Became mixed up with ffmpeg, the Zeranoe builds of which I'd checked a couple days prior ...
