YUMI older versions: https://yumi.en.softonic.com/?ex=BB-1857.1#older-versions (I don't know which one(s) is/are XP-compatible ... ). Thanks for your response but this site dose not have the YUMI-UEFI version and the source codes. You can get old versions from us here: https://sourceforge.ne...

Re: Paint.NET
For the curious, this new self-contained deployment approach will work on out of the box on a fully updated copy of Windows 8.1, 10, and 11. It will work on Windows 7 SP1 but will require the user to manually download and install Platform Update for Windows 7 from the microsoft.com site. It requires...

Re: AuthPass - Keepass compatible open source password manager
Sorry for downvoting AuthPass. It's just that my open Apps started behaving weirdly and my Keyboard stopped responding while using it. Win10 here wtf? Never heard that one before.. fwiw, AuthPass makes absolutely no use of any custom windows APIs, yet. Flutter's desktop support for windows is still...

Re: OpenShot - Video Editor
It stores settings in %USERPROFILE%\.openshot_qt and we move it back and forth along with setting 8 env vars, portablizing settings, etc. There doesn't seem to be either an environment variable or a command line switch to adjust this yet.

Re: Command Prompt Portable (PortableApps)
Glad you like it. I put it together originally to allow easy launching from the PA.c Platform and other menus and support AutoComplete preferences as you move PCs. I added in support for a custom bat file and details on adding paths. I just posted an update to 2.6 with automatic support for all port...

Re: uGet [download manager]
According to the uGet website, 2.2.1 is the official stable release as of today. The download links on the uGet website point to the 2.2.1 downloads. So, I don't think 2.2.3-2 is released yet even though it's on SourceForge.

Re: TEBookConverter - Alternative GUI for Calibre
I found old copies of it from when I was working on portablizing it for PortableApps.com. I've posted the 32-bit and 64-bit 2.0 release here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/OldFiles/TEBookConverter/ And the relevant source code here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps...

If you have it in Program Files or a similar protected area, this will occur.

Re: SeaMonkey - browser, email, newsgroups, chat, HTML editor
SeaMonkey Portable 2.53.6 has finally been released with the fixes for modern extension portablization. It's also now a dual mode 32/64-bit app for best performance and full compatibility as you move about. Apologies this took a few weeks longer than planned. https://portableapps.com/news/2021-01-27...

Re: PDF-XChange Viewer
I wanted to try the OCR addon for PDF-Xchange Viewer from portableapps.com since the one from the official website doesn't seem to work properly (or maybe something has changed that needs to be documented). However, the link for the OCR addon on portableapps.com is dead. @JohnTHaller - Can you fix ...

The new version is being worked on now. I was planning on releasing it today but I'm verifying whether it is affected by the new taskbar pinning protocol and update checking techniques in Firefox/Thunderbird first: https://portableapps.com/node/63225

Re: Running two instances of Portable Apps at the same time
You can run two separate copies of the platform without issue. You can't run two instances of the same menu (that would be a bit pointless anyway). The only issue you'll encounter is when upgrading the platform as all copies must be closed during an upgrade, though this will be changing in an upcomi...
