Re: PeaExtractor - simple file decompression
If you compare the PeaExtractor and PeaZip/res/ directories, they use almost the same, identical file structure. You can manually copy over the PeaZip files (except the /lang/ and /lang-wincontext/ directories), but that's just more work than I'd like to do. That's why I'm using symlinks, but you're...

Re: What hardware are you using?
I picked up an Intel Compute stick a couple of weeks ago - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Compute_Stick. Got a good deal on it.
Mostly going to use it for media consumption, but it's good to have a truly portable Windows 10 set up

Re: youtube-dl - multi-site media/video downloader
XDA doesn't mention the cipher decryption removal that led to youtube-dl being reinstated. Here's the portion of the code that was removed: https://github.com/animelover1984/youtube-dl/commit/0851123c1909558268e8e237214d9c466cf5198d If the video is copyrighted, then youtube-dl will now show an erro...

Re: youtube-dl - multi-site media/video downloader
youtube-dl is back on Github, but they had to remove a block of code regarding cipher decryption:

Re: PeaExtractor - simple file decompression
There hasn't been an update for PeaExtractor in three years. It's possible to just replace all the extractor libraries with the base PeaZip ones though. What I'm doing is symlinking all the directories from /PeaZip/res/ (except /lang/ and /lang-wincontext/), as well as pea.exe, directly into the Pea...

Just a note that I changed the filesize to reflect the 64-bit version. Most users are on 64-bit PCs, not 32-bit.

Re: Alternatives to CCleaner
Bleachbit is a pretty good alternative. Just missing a registry cleaner, but use registry cleaners with a bit of caution. HDD cleaners are good if you want to reclaim some HDD space. Also good to have is Tree Size Free to have an idea of which folders and files are consuming a lot of space on your PC.

Status : Unclear. The program does appear to be portable, but I had a lot of back and forth putting together the process above, so I may have missed something. Anyone that can confirm or dispute the above process is appreciated. I can confirm registration isn't needed for installation. I found that...

Yeah, you're right. vevy's filters were for search results; I was thinking about the actual search page. But I can see how filtering search results by category would be useful.Andrew Lee wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 4:10 pmCare to elaborate? What you are describing doesn't seem like what vevy is aiming for at all.

Re: What hardware are you using?
I just sold my ZG5 a couple of weeks ago. Was time to let the netbook go since it wasn't being used and I didn't want to spend extra to try and upgrade the components in it. That money would be better spent on a new laptop or mini PC!

Re: CLI Database Discussions
(I edited this post after I looked at vevy's screenshot some more) The search page that vevy mocked up is something that the main TPFC search page could use. Andrew, would it be possible to add a select dropdown to filter searches by category or multiple categories? That way, we could use the exist...

Yeah, I know of Qmmp, but it's missing some features from Winamp that make Winamp special. I'd probably use WACUP instead if I wanted to use Winamp.
I mostly use 1by1 nowadays because I just want to play stuff from directories.

Loved Winamp back in the day, but don't use it anymore.
I know someone that still uses Winamp. That person likes familiarity and doesn't like change
