I have checked it with process explorer, and none of the sorts. happens on two different computers the same way. It's even impossible to save a document - the program freezes when I try to select a folder to save to. Now it seems I'm the only one having these issues - maybe I have downloaded a fault...

strange behaviour

Does anybody else have this issue when running one of the thinstalled OO-apps? As long as it is running, I can't start any other program. Calls are put on hold. For example, if I start an explorer session with Windows-E, nothing happens, but as soon as I close down OOWrite (or any other), the explor...

As replacement for the MSN messenger I can highly recommend GaimPortable (soon to be Pidgin or so), which you can find here: http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/gaim_portable

Runs very reliably from my stick, and imho nicer than Mirinda (just a matter of taste).

Yucca, u're right. Unfortunately. Sorry.

Knew it from other forums, that a code windows develops scrollbars after a certain height - doesn't seem to be the case here.

Maybe an area for improvement, Andrew?

codetags?
I am typing with my left, as my right index is broken from scrolling ...

Thx ur consideration :-)

My sympathies to Andrew and I hope it's soon over - whatever it is. As what concerns me, I can't volunteer (I know, I haven't even been suggested, but I'd like to help out if possible) - too much work to systematically test suggested apps for complete portability. But I have another suggestion, as s...

I would have thought most people will find this syntax easier (since you just omit the drive letter). Relative path is a lot harder, since you must master the mental arithmetic of navigating the folder tree and converting them into relative path syntax! Yep, you're right. Actually, the app can do b...

Yuck!
Settings didn't survive the night - I had to log in again this morning!

Don't understand what's going on here. But it seems I'm the only one with this issue ... I can actually live with it, FF reliably fills in my credentials, so it's only a minor delay. But strange it is ...

cmmehl, regarding your comment about Save2ftp, the app indeed does not support relative paths (eg. ..\..\docs\*.*), but it does support absolute paths without drive letters (eg. \personal\docs\*.*), so that should do the trick for portable usage. You're right, Andrew, this does the trick, thx for t...

Darnit. Now it works. Of course. Shouldn't have complained - Murphy's law. Could the reason be that I use proxies sometimes, and sometime not, but always on the same computer? Anyway, sorry for the false alarm. For the notifications, we will see if they work - sometimes they do, sometimes not. Greet...

I was talking about the situation when I want to post. Reply or new thread - leads me to the address without the www. I have actually no problem to log-in, but the function "Log me on automatically each visit" doesn't seem to work, so I have to do log-in each time anew once I have closed m...

Forum functionality

I have two small issues with this forum: - I don't get email notifications anymore for the threads to which I have contributed (since about a week or so) - whenever I want to write something, I have to log in, the setting "remember me" (or whatever it's called) doesn't work. And yes - cook...
