I totally agree with you. If you delete 'egGetSvc' service EagleGet will continue to run and download but after restart it will not remember the downloaded files before the restart. So EagleGet can be made portable but it will be half-functional.

There hasn't been a single update for more than 3 years and since the developer no longer answers to questions in the CubicExplorer forum I suppose that CubicExplorer is an abandoned project.

What I supposed didn't work- Cloud Explorer still insists on creating an INI file in AppData folder. I can't find a way to make Cloud Explorer portable.

Has anybody tested Cloud Explorer for portability? Is copying 'setting.ini' file from C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Cloud Explorer to Cloud Explorer folder the right procedure to make it portable?
