Re: SoftwareOK updates

Wow - so literally all that is changed is the timestamp and checksum?

Re: SoftwareOK updates

md5 of the .exe (or did you mean the .zip the .exe is inside?) of 1.66 is 5f8fdf7e083507a9670261a851725d2f. The author is changing the version numbers - if you do a binary compare of the two versions, you can see that in the executable: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/730/snap058i.png (red text s...

Re: SoftwareOK updates

Indeed, I am Baas.

PointerStick v1.66=820,736 bytes. PointerStick 1.68=820,736 bytes. What a surprise!

Re: SoftwareOK updates

I didn't have AutoHideDesktopIcons to compare, but I've just compared the previous AlwaysMouseWheel (v1.92) with the just updated v2.0. As with AutoHideDesktopIcons, the executable sizes between the two versions are exactly the same (52,736 bytes) - but they do have different md5 hashes. Changelog w...

I hadn't noticed. That is very interesting, isn't it? *

*Interesting is the polite way to describe it, I could probably think of a better way :x

Re: SoftwareOK updates

No, it was MuseTips Text Filter . Yes, that's the one I was trying to think of! But back to SoftwareOK... look at this changelog , the last 10 updates include this standard "New language: Small adjustments". And it's the same for other titles. WTF. Maybe if the changelog only says 'language adjustm...

Re: SoftwareOK updates

FWIW, I am too. I've been wondering if it is a case of the author trying to keep his programs towards the top of sites like TPFC (in an effort to drive traffic to his website I mean). Maybe I am a bit too cynical (the updates may be genuine), but (and I can't recall what program it was now) there wa...

Re: WYSIWYG BBCode Editor

Curious - if you read the EULA (either from the installer or from the website linked in the first post), you see some standard text at the top. It begins with this: WYSIWYG BBCode Editor Copyright (c) 2011, Shajul, http://www.shajul.net/ PROJECT HOME: http://www.autohotkey.net/~shajul/bbcode-editor/...

About the message issue, does it happen only if files are sent with SendTo or Command-Line?
I only use the Send To command with DropIt.

Re: DropIt

Ah, that explains why the multiple messages appeared. If it can be easily fixed, it would be desirable to have it done so IMHO. The hidden message box is an odd one - send one file to DropIt and all is ok. Send two files to DropIt, there is no problem. Sending three files to DropIt is when the probl...

Re: DropIt

@romulous: I'm going to check the issue of the message behind the dialog box Thanks. .. anyway note that from Options you can select the method to automatic manage duplicates.. Yes, but I want some associations to always overwrite and others to not (to prompt me). The option dialog is a 'will alway...

Re: DropIt

I've noticed a little problem with DropIt on my system - if I highlight 3 or more items in my file manager (it has to be at least 3, the problem does not show with 1 or 2), and then send them to DropIt, the third DropIt 'this file already exists do you want to overwrite it' dialog box is always behi...

Re: User database posted online

So I strongly recommend all users change their password and use something with 20+ characters . Just for interest - what are the password limits here? I usually only use 15 characters for mine (including here) due to the amount of websites out there that silently cut off character 16 and onwards (s...

This is really nice work guys :D

I've put together a few small, basic scripts using AutoIt, but nothing this complicated!

Re: Undelete Plus

Thank you for the welcome I am Baas :) I've actually been lurking around the site for a fair while, I would have stumbled across the site probably not long after Andrew originally created it. I think it was the CD ISO's of portable freeware programs that TPFC released in the early days that first at...
