Re: DropIt

@Lupo - Yes, the select action does work, it was just that the TC tooltips were obscuring the list of associations I could select from. Anyway, I updated my 6.1 to 7.0, and thus far, am unable to reproduce the problem.

Re: DropIt

Just noticed an odd issue with DropIt. I use Total Commander as file manager, and have set DropIt to the Send To Menu. I highlight a file in TC, right click, Send To-->DropIt. DropIt opens, and I am prompted for the association to use. Now, if I move the mouse slightly, the tooltips from the files i...

Re: DropIt

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the list of associations that is presented when you drop a file on the DropIt icon sorted alphabetically? When you have a large list of associations, it is harder to find the on you want to process the file when they are randomly sorted as they are now.

Thanks.

Re: HOSTS file

In a simple word, no. You need two separate entries for those.

Re: DropIt

@romulous: you can easily do it, you only need to create the two associations and drop your files on DropIt; a window will allows you during the process to "Select Action" to use with the files. It does? Oops, my bad - reading the guide, I got the impression that it processes associations in order,...

Re: DropIt

Hi, What I haven't been able to to work out how to do - and it may not actually be possible - is to choose what association to use at the time the files are processed. Say I have two associations - one to move all files to C:\Test1 and the other to move all files to C:\Test2. What I would like to be...

Re: Renamer

Devs gotta eat and it only costs 10 Euro Just a minor correction - 14.95 EUR. The 9.95 EUR shows while there is no program selected in the Product drop-down, but changes to 14.95 when you select Renamer. IMHO, 14.95 is too much for a tool as common as a batch renamer, considering the large amount o...

Re: Why use a password manager?

My KeePass is a portable v1.23 (no DotNET dependency), which keeps settings in a ' keepass.ini ' alongside the main executable, and the only path mention in there is the "KeeLastDir=" key -- defaulting to Keepass own folder. In any case, better keep that keyfile out of there... Oops, yes - I am usi...

Re: Why use a password manager?

OTOH, I use a keyfile as master password, so no dice without possession of that file... now which of the 1 432 765 files on my rig is the right one? ;) I thought the path to the keyfile was listed in KeePass.config.xml - is that not actually the case on your installation? It is with my v2.22 instal...

Re: The Portable Freeware Collection - FTP access/Site Dump?

Are you sure? Yep, as Andrew confirms :) I don't think I have a copy of the ISO images any more on my hard drives, though I am not sure - I think there were two (maybe 3?) TPFC collections released as ISO's if I remember correctly. I think they were released a couple (or a few) months apart, and th...

Re: The Portable Freeware Collection - FTP access/Site Dump?

Andrew did offer exactly this at one point in time (in the site's early days). There were a couple of CD ISO's of TPFC released. It's a shame they stopped - but I appreciate it is a lot of work keeping them up to date (setting aside any issues with distributing software - not all software authors ar...

It no longer supports imageshack.us - that should be removed from the description:
MyImgur (previously Tiny Uploader) is a tool for uploading pictures to imgur.com and imageshack.us
It was removed in v3.0:

It's a shame his programs are still being bumped up to the front page (NewFileTime), it only encourages the behaviour.

Seconded.

Well, that clears up the question of the "updates" I guess. Very sad. :(
