Rizonesoft Office - word processor and spreadsheet
From the developer of Notepad3, Rizonesoft Office is an early-stage office program with some very nice initial features, including a basic, tabbed word processor (Verbum) with regular expressions support and what appears to be a spreadsheet program (Sheets) with quite a few built-in formulas. Maybe ...

Re: Blake2/3-compatible hash programs listing
Update: my favorite hashing program RapidCRC Unicode (https://www.portablefreeware.com/index.php?id=2362) now supports Blake3 hashing. EDIT1 : In a test that was far from comprehensive or scientific, my 6 yr old 64-bit i5 system checked a 380 meg file with the following analysis times: Blake3: 3.7 C...

Re: Winsnap - Screen capture utility
With a few exceptions from Andrew, we try to find alternate hosting for software just because we can't handle a major bandwidth spike if suddenly a program suddenly gets a lot of attention.freakazoid wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 11:36 am...we might want to mirror the app on TPFC servers instead.

Re: Edit LibreOffice format file internals
Although I don't use LibreOffice, this might just be the tip that tips me into it, as I've always been a big fan of human-readable formats (not that XML is easy to read, but is readable). 8) Ah fantastic -- you will be the first person (whom I know personally) that I've come close to converting. Ev...

Re: DropIt 8.5.1 Video Problem
@ Buckethead : Hi and welcome to the site -- unfortunately development on DropIt appears to have stalled and some of the regulars that were more active with support for the program in years past have moved on. I've tried to put together a thread for DropIt alternatives , but so far not a lot of cand...

I definitely prefer the old version. Can you point to a link on that?

Re: Edit LibreOffice format file internals
Months ago I started this thread talking about how to modify LO file internals, but today I found a generally better method to view/modify the format: a pure XML option or " F lat O penDocument T ext D ocument" (FOTD, or FODS / FODP for spreadsheets, presentations respectively). The contents are ref...

Re: Cryptomator (cloud file encryption)
Cryptomator v1.5.12 released (changelog at https://github.com/cryptomator/cryptomator/releases/). Crytomator has resolved the portability question by actually pointing to the Portapps.io version from their webpage (https://cryptomator.org/downloads/): This is the first I've seen of any entity embra...

Re: RJ TextEd - Unicode text and source editor
A bit of testing later, it looks like the update package works fine in terms of portability, but the program breaks on my system, meaning I need to run version 14.70 https://i.imgur.com/ifbs1Cy.png I'm not sure whether to switch the entry back to 14.70 or add instructions for the update. Can anyone ...

Re: RJ TextEd - Unicode text and source editor
Confirmed, I'm trying to figure out what went wrong there. As it stands, there's just a scripts folder and not program settings. Stranger still, when you open a script within the program, it automatically looks to a local folder. Also the program is requiring an download+update to get to the 14.72 v...

Re: PDF SAM = PDF Split And Merge
I always thought this was in the database, since I have had it in my collection since god-knows-when. I don't use it that often, but it always comes in handy when the need arises. Very much agree. Anyway, I thought it deserves a place in the database after all its years of service to me. The descri...

Then you clearly didn't need my insight on false-positives. You probably know a lot more about that topic than me.
