Re: ShareX - screenshot, screen recorder, uploader, etc.
No hotkey message = fixed. 10.8.0, no message. 10.9.1, message. Pretty simple.

Re: ShareX - screenshot, screen recorder, uploader, etc.
Unfortunately the new 10.9.1 update seems to have broken hotkey registration. Was running 10.8.0 on my system, happily alongside Dropbox and OneDrive. With 10.9.1, ShareX complains that both those apps are preventing it from registering the screen capture hotkeys. They aren't - I disabled screen cap...

Re: Site Ads Use? I Don't See Any.
@pillbug: Do you have a custom hosts file installed? These often block the google ad domains (googlesyndication etc)

Re: DropIt
I was wondering if it would be possible to speed-up the loading of DropIt? It is a bit slow to start-up on my system (subsequent start-up's don't seem to be really any faster, which is odd as I would have thought the process would have been cached after the first run).

Re: Sourceforge project hijacks
There has been some user agitation on the SourceForge forums for some of the more well known open source projects currently on SourceForge to take the projects away from there (7-Zip, KeePass, Password Safe for example). In that vein, Notepad++ is now moving away from SourceForge: http://sourceforge...

Re: CDex - audio conversion and CD ripper
For anyone wondering, here is the list of projects 'owned' by SourceForge staff: http://sourceforge.net/u/sf-editor1/profile/ http://sourceforge.net/u/sf-editor2/profile/ http://sourceforge.net/u/sf-editor3/profile/ Not sure how many staff accounts they have, if any, so that list may be incomplete. ...

Re: CDex - audio conversion and CD ripper
@Midas: Indeed, I thought the same thing. To me at least, SourceForge seem to be a bit desperate at the moment, and are trying to get as much money out of their DevShare program as is possible (DevShare is the name of the program where bundled offers are added to the installers) - even if they have ...

Re: ShareX
Has anyone noticed that the included image editor no longer saves its window size in recent versions? So if you resize the editor (which I do, I find it too small on my display), and then close ShareX, you will find that when you open it back up, the editor window is at the default size again. I am...

Re: Maxlauncher - program launcher
I am using FlashTray Pro (http://www.blacksunsoftware.com/flashtray.html) at the moment for my launcher. It's a (free) system tray launcher (icon in the tray, you click it and up pops a menu of your added programs). It's nice, but has a couple of things I miss. The first is an option to run a progra...

Re: Maxlauncher - program launcher
I'm not the dev, but... * Window start position option didn't seem to work From my experience with other programs, whether this works or not would depend entirely on the program you are trying to position. If it doesn't use a standard Windows 'window', it likely won't work. It works fine with Notepa...

Re: Best Firefox plugin(s)
We're not talking benchmarks we're talking about the basics. Sometimes it becomes unresponsive and I have to wait. Hopefully E10 will go someway to rectifying this issue If you mean when you go to click a tab, it does not become active and Firefox itself seems to stop responding - but about 5 to 10...

Re: Dithering in PNG files?
Right, now I understand :) It only added an insult to the injury that "indexed colors, dithered" was also larger than "24-bit colors" with my test sample. Now that causes my eyebrow to raise! Would never have predicted that - would have always went for the 'full 24bit will always...

Re: Dithering in PNG files?
Fair enough, I thought the whole point of the exercise was to compare dithered (546KB) vs non-dithered (64KB). I was mistaken obviously.
