Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
Thanks for allowing me to vent.. Sure, that's what friends are for  ^^ and the condescing, spiteful tone continues. I have sent you a PM as it started to get it personal. started? it became personal as soon as you guys publicly blasted me on the database, then in the forums. not just 1, but m...

Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
The database is supposed to contain information, not opinions. ChromePera is a dramatic change for the worst! That sentence is not just an opinion, it's bashing. ---- only to find the community thinks you're an idiot I think no one has said so. and "abusing your privileges" That one I agr...

Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
Please, take no offense -- written words some time convey more than they were really meant to say. Your input remains highly appreciated, my dear Magibon . :o BTW, for what it's worth, I second the splitting of Opera entries in the database... @ midas you're actually one of the decent people who kn...

Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
the personal insight is from being an Opera enthusiast.. (to longtime Opera enthusiast... That is fine in the comments section or here in the forums but absolutely not in the db entry. the rest of your input (not just the Opera one) is welcome and much appreciated. again.. im not going to argue w/a...

Re: Is Opera 15 standard portable or not ?
The new entry for Opera is ridiculous. I shall be changing it back and removing personal attacks about Opera. In future keep your emotions out of the database, the Forum is fine, but NOT the database. If you can't do that then please don't edit the database in the future. Thanks. The new entry for ...

Re: Media Preview (video thumbnails)
Well here's the install log... Icaros is developed by a different dude thats not that Shark007 guy but he moderates the shark forums so I guess guilty by association? http://pastebin.com/fUF1Ydvp Media Preview and Icaros use their own codecs so whatever other codecs you have installed on your syste...

Re: Media Preview (video thumbnails)
Well I cleared my thumbnail cache and opened a folder with about over a hundred videos and icaros displayed thumbnail previews almost instantly. Tried the same with Media Preview and it took a couple seconds. Not very scientific but icaros definitely feels faster to me. But that could depend on you...

Re: Media Preview (video thumbnails)
I've used Icaros for a while now and it works faster than Media Preview at generating thumbnails. Don't have any problems with it. It's much more actively developed so far and you can download it in a standalone sorta portable zip package. Requires NET 4.0 though. It's completely separate from the ...

Re: Media Preview (Generate thumbnails for videos w/out code
Did you tried Icaros - http://shark007.net/tools.html ? How it works for you? Because i tried it some time ago, it crashes Explorer every time. i did see others were mentioning it in my research. i personally do not have any experience with it.. But i do have experience with Shark007's Codecs.. bot...

Media Preview (video thumbnails)
Ever since being involved with this website, and jumping on the " is it stealth " bandwagon.. I have held out on codec packs... ( codec packs cause slow startup, conflicts, bloat, and hinder PC performance, etc. ) Although i do miss the convenient thumbnails for unsupported video types whi...

How to install IPFilter updater for uTorrentPortable
This tutorial will show you how to install IPFilter µpdater to an existing uTorrent installation, and edit uTorrent to handle the trash left behind by IPFilter µpdater. ( AppData\Roaming\WinRAR folder is created during IPFilter µpdates) This assumes you're using uTorrentPortable by PortableApps.com....

Re: Windows Firewall Notifier
this is a light alternative to TinyWall.. Reliable.. and well worth the application's residue. Especially since Windows 7' firewall allows all outgoing connections. ( including connections w/ no rule ) this is a major security flaw.. with this application.. it will block all outgoing and then alert ...
