Re: SecurStick

Ok, some hints from the author's website: - could be that port 80 is already occupied. Run netstat -a -b -n -v and tell us the result. If you are in an OS above WinXP, you could also start the program on a different port (i.e. 81) with this commandline option: -ServerPort:xxx This won't work under X...

Re: SecurStick

I'd like to bump up this thread and plead for adding this fine program to the collection. I just discovered it recently and think it's one of the best inventions since sliced bread! How long have we been searching for a truly portable encryption program that is volume based! How many negative answer...

Re: Need help with a program i want to make portable

I would like to push this subject ... even though I had recommended other VoIP programs instead, now I would myself be very interested to get a portable betamax prog. Or rather the script to make all betamaxes portable. At the time, I didn't realise there are more things to do with the betamax progr...

Re: Rainlendar lite 2.6

I do confirm it works as you described - thanks a lot, webfork!!! Including the licensed version, btw.

Sorry for not responding earlier.

Re: Rainlendar lite 2.6

Hi all,

could someone pls explain me how to make Rainlendar 2.6 portable? During the install, I don't get an option for portable:-(

Also, would it be possible to have the paid version portable? I would like to have the Google calendar feature, but of course portably.

Thanks for any advice!

Which program does this refer to? Any URL to that program, or to a previous entry here in the collection?

In this form, the entry is not very useful, I must say.

No, you can't run several instances simultaneously, and have to close a running instance (rightclick) before starting another one. However you can create as many instances as you want. I had used rocketdock before, and created several instances by theme (editing, networking etc), to group programs. ...

Not the latest, but 8.5 - works quite nicely :-)

No idea how it was done, but being fed up by the "live install" crap and stilling clinging to the good old messy, I opted for it:

Another little suggestion: when the stick is taken out before closing usbpro, it should not make a big fuss of that when the computer shuts down. This is currently the case, it stops the shutdown process, complaining that its path doesn't exist. Yeah I know one shouldn't take off a stick like that ....

Really a nice program! Love the tabs! I second the suggestion to have the program window disappear when launching an item. Additionally, another suggestion: could the UsbPro.xml file be hidden in a directory? Possibly even deeper than just a root-directory? First of all, the xml-file clutters the ro...

Question to the portable experts here: how do you manage to enter a relative path, to create an index for contents of your stick? Didn't find a way, and as drive letters change, any search results will be for the last-entered drive-letter of the index. If it's not possible yet - might be a good idea...

Ah - I had made a search for IYF which brought no results in the DB ... I love small and efficient progs! And no-install :-) Comes in handy for use in the office, where one can't install software. A nice feature would be to save searches, and a switch to exclude subfolders on the spot, to speed thin...

A fantastic prog!

Only discovered it today, but I'm seriously impressed. Why is it still alpha? And why is it not in the database here?

Respect to the programmer!

I also found out the hard way about this DriveImage XML limitation ... I think what I would do is get gparted (sorry, too lazy to dig up a link), which a linux equivalent of PartitionMagic and comes as a bootable CD. Boot with it, while having a stick with DriveImage XML on it already connected. The...
