Re: StarOffice (LibreOffice and OpenOffice) variants
I mostly use MS Office at home. I still prefer its interface and usability even though I am not a power user by far. Mostly Libre Office at work (cheaper for the boss, which is OK for me), sometimes OpenOffice at work (on some older machines that the admin didn't update...), sometimes our cloud-base...

Re: Xinorbis - powerful hard disk analyser
The entry was updated to v8.2.1, but the website says v8.1.13 as of June 2019 and the download page says v8.1.10 as of January 2019. What's correct?

Re: LibreOffice Portable
NeoOffice isn't free and it's for MacOS. The latest version is called 2017, but they quite regularly seem to fix bugs and offer patches.

Re: WinScan2PDF
I also posted this in the comments section of the entry, it is concering security aspects mentioned above (link seems dead): It seems possible to make the program automatically delete temporary image files from scans, moreover it seems possible to change the default location of those files from AppD...

Re: Thunderbird news
Thanks for replying, John. I also posted in your forums, hope that's OK. I am using v60.8.0 on Win10 1903, I only use ThunderbirdPortable.exe and I have disabled the internal updater. I always manually update (install over) with the PA.com release. Roaming\Pending Pings is empty, but in Roaming\Thun...

Re: Thunderbird news
In AppData, I get the folders Local\Thunderbird\updates and Roaming\Thunderbird\Pending Pings. I use the following add-ons: Lightning, Manually Sort Folders, ImportExportTools. Thunderbird Portable is located on a different partition than the system (and AppData). I never had an installed version of...

Re: Kid3 - audio file metadata manager
I'm not sure I understand correctly what you want to do, but Tags 2 Folders might be helpful, it's in the database too.
Edit:
Ah, probably no, I mixed that up with a renaming operation I usually carry out with foobar2000.

Wow, I'll try this out.
Exactly what I've been looking for since Opera dropped the mail client and Vivaldi doesn't seem to implement it.

P.S.: Yes, it's and you're wonderful. My times of contributions may sadly be over for now due to family reasons, but I still follow the site every day and appreciate the work that is being done here a lot.

Re: You're all wonderful
imo there should be an effort to increase the traffic to TPFC so that new users will be found to help contribute. Maybe something like a free premium program giveaway every month, just register an account to be in a drawing etc. Not a bad idea at all. I know some other vaguely tech-related forums t...

Ditto. I haven't had the chance anymore to contribute much in the last few years, yet I still check the site (several times) every day to keep my portable software up-to-date. Thanks a lot.

Why don't you contact the developer? He's very responsive and always fixed bugs I reported very quickly. Maybe he will consider feature requests as well.

Re: Vivaldi - Opera Browser Alternative
BTW: What are the advantages of our extracting instructions over the standalone installation that Vivaldi innately offers? I don't quite get that, since both ways don't make it stealth and seem to have the portability issue with extensions. In the meantime: Still waiting for Vivaldi to implement the...
