Re: Can't delete MVRegclean key from registry

Never used a sandbox. I thought the very purpose of a sandbox is to leave no traces of any software in the system (and the registry). Maybe try your luck at a Comodo forum.

Re: Can't delete MVRegclean key from registry

The program scans the registry for key with null entries and offers them for deletion. Here's more help: sysinternal forum. If it doesn't list your keys then those keys don't have null characters.

Re: Can't delete MVRegclean key from registry

Maybe "RegDelNull" (by Mark Russinovich of Sysinternals) might work. It can delete registry keys that got null characters (not visible in Regedit) in their name:

Re: Can't delete MVRegclean key from registry

But those registry keys belong to the Comodo firewall/sandbox. I'd deactivate the Comodo firewall (sandbox) completely and any service it might be using (after disconnecting the computer from the Internet) and then try deleting the keys again, also by changing again the privileges in the left pane o...

Re: Slideshow screenshots?

Now I am confused: http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=26932#p26932. Wouldn't this be slow too?! If a Slideshow was created. guinness, in that post where I complained about slowness, I referred to the slow LOADING of the single screenshots with the special new feature that Andrew...

Re: Slideshow screenshots?

Of course one could go to the original website to see the original screenshots, but then they wouldn't need to get posted here in the first place. IMO a screenshot should give you an idea either of what the program looks like or of how it functions, especially if the screenshots display functions an...

Re: Various updates...

Damn, this new screenshot thingie. I really hate this. It's been annoying me since all suddenly discovered it and put in their galleries. Rolling slow bling-bling. Am I the only one who doesn't like this? And it also doesn't "fit" with the look of wesite. You got my vote, bassiliin (in ca...

Re: Various updates...

Wouldn't know what to post from the confusing results of the error consoles of the different browsers. But Opera's "Developer Tools" got this result for the two inactive buttons: "Preview" button: <input type="submit" name="preview" value="Preview" o...

Re: Various updates...

Glad you could confirm it, joby, as I can see new comments getting added all the while (easily to be detected in the new comment box). Strange.

Edit: well, at least webfork's latest comment on "Screeny" is new. Maybe commenting works for him because he's moderator.

Re: Comments not working?

I don't seem to be able to post my smart comments below an entry in the database anymore, whether logged out or logged in. The buttons [Preview] and [Post comment] don't work. I've disabled every possible little security feature I could think of and tried several browsers, and the buttons still don'...

If you got a to-do entry (not a normal reminder) pending (which would be logical, if your date reverted to 2003) the tray icon changes to a red color. Anyway, you could also check and reset tray icon settings under Options > Tray-icon.

Re: changelog for every new version?

how about posting a changelog for every new version of a program so that we know what's changed/fixed/implemented? what do you think? i think it's useful to know.. I'm all for an additional changelog link in the database, pointing to the changelog on the program's website. Somewhere next to Website...

In Data > settings > FoxitReaderPortable.reg

Open FoxitReaderPortable.reg with notepad and change the entry "ShowAd"="1" to "ShowAd"="0".

Re: chrome plus

After exiting ChromePlus, I got two chrome.exes of it in the task manager that couldn't be terminated with any tool. Had to do a restart of the computer to get rid of those.
