Re: Famulus

Nice to hear someone really uses Famulus. Thank you! :D I remember at one point I did consider little expansion modules to go with Famulus. They would have been small apps that when launched with various command parameters would have performed specific tasks that Famulus alone couldn't. I'm glad you...

Re: PDF-XChange Editor

So I gave this editor a try, and I can't help but wonder if I am missing something? It doesn't seem to actually DO anything in free mode. I can't create a file (at all) or edit a file (in any meaningful way) without it having watermarks. If I am missing something, can someone point it out please? If...

Re: Famulus

@smaragdus Thank you for looking at it. :D Stay on top option. I designed Binal as a desktop widget, and actually jumped through a few hoops getting it to stay under all windows. Can you explain how a stay on top option would be useful? :?: Colours chosen via a palette, now one needs to paste the d...

Re: Famulus

@lintalist

Thank you kindly. I will look at that and try again, but it really does look like what I have tried before. Never got it to work on any of my GUIs but who knows. :D

Re: Famulus

@smaragdus You are most welcome. Sadly, window resizing is not something I have ever been able to implement. I do have two apps with resizable windows, but only because the required code was provided by other members of the AutoHotkey forum. I have tried a few times to translate that code over to o...

Re: Famulus

@smaragdus My idea for the middle man would have been to have a single .exe for Famulus to run, and pass the intended file paths to it. It should have worked just as Famulus works now, except the launch commands would be altered and stats would be in a single .ini file. But it looks like @lintalist...

Re: Famulus

@lintalist ...The code is strong with this one. I honestly have no idea how the Famulus' code really works at this point. It has been years since I wrote it, I did not comment the code and lets face it I am rubbish at coding on a good day. All that is why I said it would be a lot of work to...

Re: Famulus

@smaragdus Thanks for your immediate response, it is nice to hear from the developer of my beloved Famulus, at least I know that you are safe and sound! :) Yeah, I am still around. I just don't code nearly as much as I used to, and what I do write I often don't polish to the point of being able to ...

Re: Famulus

Greetings smaragdus ! I am not sure Famulus qualifies as abandoned, though it is true I don't have any plans to update it. :D The description only mentions up to Win 7 mostly because I never tested it on anything beyond that. If you can confirm Famulus works under Win 8 then we can certainly add tha...

Re: Closeout

Greetings webfork Including an example exclusions file is a good idea. I will look into it. As it is now Closeout is not supposed to touch apps in the tray. In order to close them it would need some major changes, at least I think so... I will look at it. What do you mean by shutdown prompt? You mea...

Re: Lock State

Different in the vague 'unusual' sense, or different in the 'oh, what is that thing?' sense? And I agree, AutoHotkey syntax gets a bit convoluted at times. It started as a much simpler language and as it was extended over time it got muddled. There is a completely overhauled v2 which has been ...

Lock State

Lock State provides a simple OSD to show the states of the NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock keys. Please check it out and, if conscience allows, vote for it to be made public! 8)

I must admit the past year or so I have not spent much time here, so I have forgotten the special search codes. Thanks for pointing out KLED, and I will make an effort to brows the private section more often. :)

Re: Lock State 2.0 feedback?

@webfork: Thank you for responding! I actually don't have screenshots for any of the apps on my site. Not sure why, I just did not design the pages to have them... Is the current OSD text not clear, or does it look bad in any way? I could include icons in a few different color and let the user sele...
