Re: Firefox Portable

Hello Giulia, yes, there are two ways: 1. you can add a file called "FirefoxPortable.ini" where FirefoxPortable.exe resides, containing the following: [FirefoxPortable] FirefoxDirectory=App\Firefox64 You can also find this file in the "Other" folder of a portable installation from PortableApps, copy...

Re: Combine batch of images into a PDF

webfork , you already had the solution: FSViewer can not only convert every image to single PDF, but a whole bunch of images into one single PDF. Go to "create" > "multipage builder" Interesting: when saving a single image as PDF, the "options" button is greyed out, but if you use the multipage bui...

Re: Firefox Portable

Auto-updating the PA-Firefox affects stealthness but not portability. In earlier versions, when the udate download (from inside the "about" dialog) was complete, you were able to ignore the "click here to restart and apply" (or something like that), restart your firefox with the PA-launcher and the ...

Re: Registry Compactor

It should be mentioned, that after uniextracting you get two executables in the {app} folder: rc,1.exe and rc,2.exe
The smaller one is the 32-bit version - so you can rename them accordingly: rc32.exe and rc64.exe

The program is stealth.

Re: Enable portability with Nircmd

Yes webfork, how SYSTEM pointed out: the "start /wait" command calls the specified program and returns to the next batch line as soon as this program is terminated - just what we want if we have to copy settings over to the program folder and clean up afterwards  Of course there are some sp...

Re: Enable portability with Nircmd

Sorry to say - but for this you don't need Nircmd ;-) In the second line you can simply add the "/wait" (start /wait) switch, it does the job as well. Most non-portable programs, even those with cluttered and complex settings/entries can be made portable with simple batch files like this - the "/wai...

Re: Bart

Bart is not abandoned - version 3.0 dates from 2012, now the developer released v3.1 in december 2019 ! Changelog & info: https://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/bart/index.html The program looks promising - simple, clean - will test it next week. Deserves a database entry, hopefully I find the time to add...

Re: CLCL

Previous versions created a folder (username) in the program directory, where the settings were stored. If you logged in as a different user or took the program directory with you on an USB-stick and started CLCL on another computer, another folder with the name of the respective user was created in...

webfork, the information is right beneath the screenshot on the homepage:
Payment of a license fee is no longer required for the use of LView Pro 2006. The license ID 486-434-128-136 activates a copy of LView Pro 2006.

Re: Tom's Viewer

Here you go - this image for example (but the behaviour occured with all of my Fuji-images): https://depot.nullnull3.de/mb_w108_0219_fj9535.jpg I didn't test RAWs - I use IranView for copying and renaming my RAWs (from Fuji & Canon) and it has no problems showing them, but with Tom's Viewer I didn't...

Re: Tom's Viewer

@Tom: 1) about 80MB and as mentioned created with PS CC2014 - not really new, saved in compatibility format 3) No, the resolution of X-Trans files in Tom's Viewer ist exactly the same as in other viewers - full size (in my case 4896x3264px), in addition in IrfanView I get the information about compr...

Re: Tom's Viewer

May I? I tested your updated version 3.9: + now thumbnail database creation can be switched off + opens most TIFF files However - some big problems (perhaps my files are not representative?): - does not open PSD files (at least all I tested, made with CC2014) - takes ages to open fullsize images (16...

Re: Tom's Viewer

... Thank you very much for checking out the program, zorro! 1) TIFF is not a format. It's a container. There is over 50 different formats (including JPEG) that can be placed inside TIFF. A program that could read all TIFFs simply doesn't exist. Tom's Viewer does handle some TIFF images but not all...

Re: Tom's Viewer

Quick test with a few problems: - doesn't open TIF (or at least mines - all other image viewers handle them well) - spreads "Thumbs.tdb" files whereever you browse in thumbnail mode (reminds me of the mess XP produced) - in thumbnail view you can not browse past the partition you started in (with no...
