Re: Slow down writing to disk

My current temperatures average around 38 degrees Celsius, I wonder how You manage to have it at 31 degrees ? You are not an outdoorsy Eskimo on Your veranda, are You ? Hey, i'm not a liar ! Have a look by yourself : http://h3kt0r.fi.tempcloudsite.com/public/forums/CI%2010_07_2018%2006_37_17.jpg Th...

Re: Slow down writing to disk

This sounds strange to me. I regularly compress files/extract archives in the background while watching movies or streaming videos and i don't have such a problem. And my laptop isn't high-grade at all. I've bought it at the supermarket for 350 bucks. From what you've told in your post, i'd say it m...

Re: What hardware are you using?

Now, i've just salvaged an Acer Aspire one netbook : intel atom (1.6Ghz), 512Mb RAM, 8Gb SSD. Just installed Antix Linux on this netbook, it runs great : web browsing is smooth, video streaming is fine, everything worked straight from the beginning : keyboard, touchpad, wifi, etc... Very light on sy...

Re: BiglyBT - open source bittorrent client

Truth is, you have legions of bad programmers trying to invade your desktop with poorly written, bloated, sluggish "apps" that are originally designed for tablets and/or smartphones. They don't know s**t about assembly language, code optimization, simple, elegant, effective programming design and do...

Re: BiglyBT - open source bittorrent client

I've downloaded, installed (using "Revo Uninstaller") and tested "BiglyBT" and cannot recommend this. Sure thing is it has loads of options. But it's sooo heavy, it's slow, it's bloated and was a disapointment to me. Whenever i've decided to remove it using "Revo", i went into some real trouble. I'v...

Re: StackNotes

Perhaps offer AEScmd.exe as a separate download would be an option. Yes, i think i'll do that starting from the next release. There's a button in the encryption dialog that you can click to get the "AESCrypt" package. But you'll have to rename the binary to "AEScmd.exe" for it to work with StackNot...

Re: StackNotes

@ lintalist : - I can increase the Most Recently Used files list to 9 slots if this is what you want. With accelerators. I'll work on it. - I could add a color theme builder to the program in a future release. - I don't know if i can include unicode support to the program. I'll check it out.
