Re: Requested: an intro

JauntePE are only compatible to make 16 and 32 bit software portable.
I wish a 64-bit compatible version whould come soon, but the project has stopped.

Re: Icon Explorer

I have to point out that if "persistent layout" in preferences are set, then Icon Explorer writes to Registry. Have to mention that MiTec also make Network Scanner (atm v4.4.0) which makes a Netscanner.ini file in Your profile under AppData\Roaming\MiTeC\Network Scanner, if one set the equ...

Re: Icon Explorer

I have now tested MiTeC_Icon_Explorer_5.0.1, and can confirm that
Icon_Explorer_5.0.1 did not write to registry, only OS did.

In past, MiTeC Icon Explorer 4.2.0 wrote to registry.

Re: MiTeC Task Manager DeLuxe

All MiTeC software that I use, writes to registry.
MiTeC HexEdit 6.1.0
MiTeC Icon Explorer 4.2.0
MiTeC Mail Viewer 2.3.0
MiTeC Network Scanner 4.0

Therefore Ive used JauntePE060Nightly to make it true stealth.

Re: IMHO, The best portable file manager - Total Commander.

When I use Total Commander in Portable mode, it does not write to register (Totcmd v8.51a) All registry writings are made by OS, aka where You executed totcmd from. Ive been using Total Commander since 1995 (v3.0) . Those days there was no option to make it Portable. Total Commander is a fully opera...

Re: Mumble - VoIP client/server combo

Yes, Portableapps.com has a portable version but it does not contain Murmur (the server). Mumble is made portable by adding a mumble.ini file to the root of Mumble, as described in earlier posts. I always download the *.msi file and unpack it using Universal_Extractor_1.6.1_R7. Then just add a empty...
