Re: μGiffer [graphic capture utility]

Hi Midas, thanks for the notes. ∙ If ' uGiffer.ini ' is present in the program folder, it isn't automatically picked up. I know it should be passed as a parameter with '-c ' command option but it would make uGiffer simpler to operate if it did automatically. I'm not a big fan of keeping config data ...

Re: μGiffer [graphic capture utility]

0.9.9 is out

F1 now starts the capture after a 3 second countdown.
Ctrl-F1 starts it immediately.
There's also now an option of not deleting captured BMP frames after GIF is created (and do that immediately before the next capture instead).

Re: μGiffer [graphic capture utility]

Thanks for the heads-up. My bad, sorry. Rushed things in a bit.

0.9.6 should have this resolved.

Re: Giffer [graphic utility; name provisional]

Thanks, webfork. A unique program from the screen recording tools I've tested, Giffer records only if something's happening in the recording window, and then only as much as is necessary. The idea comes from GifCam . Rapid activity appears to have a minimum 10 ms presence This is because per-frame d...

Add "-32" in front of .exe for the 32-bit version, e.g. https://bvckup2.com/files/giffer-0.9.4-32.exe

Re: Giffer [graphic utility; name provisional]

@Specular - Thanks. I nearly torn my wrist off, but managed to reproduce it!
Uno mas, if you can, please - https://bvckup2.com/files/giffer-0.9.4.exe ?
This should, in theory, fix it.

Giffer [graphic utility; name provisional]

One thing I noticed was the green 1px window border would become visible in the capture if the Giffer window is moved during capture. Not a big deal for captures in which the window is static though.
Hmm. There's actually the code to prevent that from happening. I'll give it another look.
