Re: Atom - specialized text editor [discontinued]

(https://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22328) Hasn't Zed been discontinued also? :? Same name, different developers and app - the zed.dev - lots of discussion on HN focus seems to be on speed (GPU) and collaborative editing as far as I understand it (there is no windows yet afaik ...

Re: Zed - Code Editor

Dev discontinued, code archived here https://github.com/zedapp/zed/

The url in the first post now leads to non-related website now so perhaps a mod can remove the link + the youtube post above as the video is offline as well

Fort Firewall (Windows 7 and up)

Untested, but looks portable, a more elaborate version of Simplewall it seems. Website: https://github.com/tnodir/fort Releases: (Arm, 32/64bit) https://github.com/tnodir/fort/releases/tag/v3.16.8 Fort Firewall is an effective firewall designed for Windows 7 and later versions, offering both simpli...

Re: simplewall (open-source firewall)

On his GH profile this qoute:
IDGAF about simplewall, if you do not pay me!
so I'm guessing the dev. is indeed done with it. Popular repo and lots of (open) issues so probably quite demanding. On the hand something people like and want to use, and on the other don't want to donate (enough).

Re: PDF4QT: An open-source PDF editor designed for both Windows and Linux

A bit unstable (few crashes) and I just don't like the icons on the button bar (silly reason, but still).

Re: Recoll (document content indexer & searcher)

But it seemed like a headache to get the Windows version running ... Has anyone actually got this running on Windows or elsewhere? Installation is dead easy (v1.41 anyway). Just start Windows installer, next, next, done. When you start the program for the first time it will ask you what to index e....

Re: Take a second look at the private entries list

I had a quick peek at the entries and did notice a few very old or even duplicate ones - how to deal with those? - should a chat client for a deprecated platform remain on there? Is there a way to flag these - apart from editing the title with a "tag" or something?
