Re: Bvckup

And... I ended up buying it and totally not regretting it. However since I'm poor, I only bought one license for my primary computer. I used the beta versions for the other 4 computers.

Re: XYplorerFree

I don't think I would take BigLeo very seriously. Although the comment on the documentation is partially true (it can definitely be improved but it's not as bad as it's made out to be), the rest seems... odd. If I take Directory Opus, xplorer2, and XYplorer, none of them would have all the features ...

Re: Overview of Torrent Clients

My favorite versions of uTorrent thus far was the old 2.2.1 and 3.2.3. I like that last version of 3.2.3 because it fixes some of the magnet link issues I had and also all the ads were still easy to disable compared to any of the newer verion 3.3 or 3.4. I just tried qBitorrent and honestly, I just ...

Same here. I think it's very solid and adding it would not be a problem.

Re: RAM Disk for Windows (system utility)

Oh this would be an interesting product to test if it's portable. This is my main RAM disk application too ever since I got 16GB. I put all my browser cache directory onto it (Firefox, Opera, and Chrome) and works full well. Although it probably does not work well with non-admin accounts though.

Re: FreeFileSync

New version! Version 6.6 I'm not sure if I'm doing this the right away. I decided to post to this thread simply because the title is simply "FreeFileSync" so it was generic with not version number in the title. Basically I skipped all the other FreeFileSync thread. However, I realized that...

Re: Euler Math Toolbox

Yeah I'm planning to test more stuff when I get more time. The next one on my list is currently RStudio. Natively it's not portable since it always save the settings the user's application data directory but I remember reading somewhere it can be made portable with a launcher or something. Will need...

Re: Portable Python Updated

@ Enternal : I just added "Math - Calculators" and "Math - Graphing Tools" categories to Portable Python database entry; is that suitable? Yes that will be suitable! Thank you! EDIT: Do you think it's possible to append this to the description? Portable Python also comes with th...

Re: Portable Python Updated

Portable Python is now updated to version 2.7.6.1 for Python2 and 3.2.5.1 for Python3. Also for the category, I believe it should also be added under the math section simply because it comes with the following python libraries: NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, and IPython. These mature libraries ar...

Odd I ran it a couple times but never see that file being generated. So that means you have to make it yourself. Thanks!

@Midas
Wow that one looks really old and it needs GTK to be installed.

Re: Audacity v2.0.5 can't change temp directory , help

The temp folder cannot be moved at all for the portableapps version. It's also a known problem (although it's not exactly a problem either) and is stated on the portableapps site: Local Temp - The temp directory is placed on the local PC within the %TEMP% directory. If there are no problems, it is r...

Re: Free Commander

I tried the newest beta of Multi Commander (3.9.9 build 1600) and it is very impressive. I could customize almost everything I wanted though its configuration is little tricky. I dare to say this is the best free alternative if you need advanced features. I do have to admit that the "Take Owne...
