Re: WizTree
A small necro, for a small heads-up/warning. So, I doubt this will affect any of you, but nonetheless, I upgraded to 4.09 from 4.08 today and it looks like past supporter codes are invalid now? Went from: https://i.imgur.com/8ApOBWt.png To this: https://i.imgur.com/tA2Okfg.png Unless I'm missing so...

Re: WizTree
Hi @antibody. Please allow changing font size (maybe font family too). Some of us are not young anymore :-) You can change the font size by editing the WizTree3.ini file directly. Increase the "fontheight" and "rowheight" values to suit. Only edit the file when WizTree isn't act...

Re: WizTree
@Special - It's not malware - it's the windows API function "WinVerifyTrust" (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/wintrust/nf-wintrust-winverifytrust) that was triggering the Internet connectivity. I wasn't aware that this would happen so I've removed this function from vers...

Re: WizTree
Ah, that's WizTree verifying its digital signature. It's calling a regular Windows API function to do this. Which version of Windows are you using? I wasn't aware that the Windows api function would require Internet access. It's probably downloading a missing certificate or something like that. I'm ...

Re: WizTree
@Special:
The update check code in both WizFile and WizTree is the same - this is not related to that. Also, it would be connecting to antibody-software.com (104.156.52.74), not 151.139.128.14
If nobody else has this problem I'm going to assume it's an issue on your PC only.

Re: WizTree
I'm the developer of WizTree. @Special reported that 3.36 was "phoning home" to ip address 151.139.128.14 even when WizTree was configured to not check for updates. The only site WizTree connects to is antibody-software.com (104.156.52.74) and only if the "check for updates" opti...

Please vote for it if you like it. Thanks! So first I appreciate your work on the program, your availability to making your program portable, and the fact that you're listening to users here on the site. However, I just want to ask about something that's come up at least 10x here on the site: progr...

Why does this mess with scheduled tasks? I catch it doing... "schtasks /Delete /TN WizFile /F" Hi - I'm the author of WizFile. If you enable the "Start with Windows" option WizFile will update the task scheduler to start WizFile when you log in. It's done this way so that it can...

Re: WizMouse now available as portable
@antibody: Could you please try again? Your user account was flagged previously, which causes the "Add entry" function to be disabled. I have unflagged your account, so it should be enabled now. @SYSTEM: Thanks for alerting me to this. Thanks Andrew - it works now. I've added it here: htt...

Re: WizMouse now available as portable
Thanks for the info but that doesn't work for me. I get "You do not have sufficient rights to access this function." I have sent a PM about it to Andrew. You should be able to add WizMouse, and the problem may well affect other new TPFC members as well. Thanks mate. It's still not working...
