Pretty sure it does write settings to an XML file in one of the AppData (Local?) locations, don't remember exactly. Also the registry obviously.

This was not a few hours difference though, it was almost a full 24 hours, what timezone is that off? This isn't a big deal I just though it was kinda fun/odd.

That's what I though, but the previous date was dated as 2020 year and the previous release came out on feb 16 2021, so the year was wrong from before. Made me question what I did...

You should really give foobar a try, and switch to it webfork, no one should use outdated software, and the year+ wait between versions on LameXP isn't worth the "well I don't want to learn a new thing/new setup/my workflow"...
