Unfortunately since version 65 Firefox creates "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Mozilla" (%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Mozilla\updates\...) - the portable launcher leaves the folder behind.
Any idea what this file does?

Re: Anything portable out there for viewing Doc / Docx / XLTM Files?

^^ Can't stand LibreOffice honestly, it always have issues with fonts and certain other things looking right, and it's really bloated for just what I want it to do. Anyway I saw a few days back on MajorGeeks a program called DocX Viewer which is what kinda sparked this and reminded me that I need so...

Anything portable out there for viewing Doc / Docx / XLTM Files?

Something like Sumatra PDF but for MS Office type files is what I'm after, does anything like this exists? MS used to have Microsoft Excel Viewer & Word Viewer which are now discontinued but can still be found on places like FileHippo, they were never portable though so I'm not interested in them fo...

Re: Are betas allowed to be listed or must only stable versions be listed?

It's not a beta. It out and released by the dev, a pre-release... he likes to wait a week or so before triggering the auto-updater to the masses in case any critical issue are found just to be safe.

I saw a gHacks review of this program and this part caught my eye... https://www.ghacks.net/2018/11/09/daram-renamer-is-a-great-rename-tool-for-windows-with-one-tiny-flaw/ Windows users who use a firewall with strict rules, in particular a rule that blocks new connections, may notice that Daram Rena...

Re: Discord

This may be old news, but the program is now supporting video as well as voice. I've updated the entry and added a few additional feature notes. I don't love the program but I acknowledge it's taking over in a vacuum created between a host of disappearing IM services, as well as a bulky and confusi...

Re: PDF-XChange Editor

If you want something to view PDFs with then it's fine, if you want to do any sort of altering or modifying to a PDF then saving it, you get watermarks, editing is payed. With that being said, the Editor by far the best PDF program I have ever used, the old X-Change Viewer, SumatraPDF, Adobe Reader,...

Re: CCleaner Portable

I don't see the point, they are back-pedaling pretty hard now that a lot of eyes are one them so I suspect their "next" version will be good, and they aren't malicious or anything. Heck remove Firefox then since that sends tons of telemetry that are super hidden via about:config options. This site a...
