Re: Biniware Run

@billon I was not asking you but Midas. Or you have founded a moderators' party? Your post quenched the faint enthusiasm I still had to publish content here. I have already stopped posting at the comments section after Andrew Lee ruined it. I will stop posting in the forum too since it is a waste o...

What is the point of this meaningless post? Such posts by moderators cannot conceal the fact that the forum is dead.

Biniware Run

Preamble I have tested and used a huge number of launchers of all kinds (type-search-run, pop-up menus, category boxes, etc). Perhaps program launchers is the category I have most played with (together with hash tools). The ones I like and use most (which I have customized to my needs) are all aban...

Re: TyperTask

TyperTask might not be dead:
Where is the TyperTask program?

"TyperTask" is the keyboard automation component of TinyTask, which is probably even more productivity enhancing than TinyTask.

It is being developed and upgraded. Expect new releases in the future.

Re: TrafficMonitor

@billon Excuse me- you are right, TrafficMonitor is not stealth- under Windows 8 it leaves the following empty folder: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TrafficMonitor I was manually testing global_cfg.ini , changing: [config] portable_mode = true to [config] portable_mode = false and somehow I missed ...

Re: Quod Libet

@zorro smaragdus: I think I'll add Quod Libet to the database (the next days) - may I use one of your screenshots? Of course you can use any image I have ever posted at this forum. I hate copy right and everything I upload can be used freely and without any restrictions. So there is no need to ask ...

TrafficMonitor

Preamble I have used several network monitors in the past (most of them were abandoned long ago). Years ago (in 2010) I discovered NetWorx and immediately it became my favourite bandwidth tool. Unfirtunately in 2106 it became a commercial program so I sought for alternatives. Later there came out a...

Re: Quod Libet

@zorro I forgot to mention that if you add Quod Libet to the database I will vote for it (although I totally disagree with the developer about cue sheets)- the program is solid and powerful and in my opinion it has the quality to be included in the database but my vote will not be enough to make th...

Re: Quod Libet

@zorro I wonder what "GStreamer" is - it seems to be the default output backend, but I never heard of... As far as I know most Linux audio players use GStreamer ( Website , Wikipedia , Software that uses GStreamer ) for encoding and decoding media formats. About Quod Libet - I have used it in the p...

Re: Brosix

My first reaction, precisely. A quarter Gig for a chat program, are you serious? The size is the price of being cross platform but for these 240 MB Brosix offers a lot- chat rooms, audio and video calls, screen sharing, white board, encryption. The free version is not severely crippled- in ...
