Re: Redllar is coming back
Hi all. Sorry this reply is so late. No excuses really. Thanks for all of the nice posts. And for the many of you who PM'd and/or tried to email me over the years, my apologies for not getting back in touch. crownixx seems to enjoy handling JPE related things here. And from what I can gather, he's d...

Saying so long
Well folks, the latest mod for TPFC has seen fit to delete one of my posts. Without any discussion from me. Hopefully without Andrew's okay, as I still have respect for him if not the others. So, anyway, I'm outta here for good. Consider JPE publically dead as far as TPFC is concerned. The way thing...

Thanks for reminding me of the "newbie equals defaults" axiom. I'm a bit thickheaded these days. If my assumption is correct, WFSMerge will be "on" by default in 030, right? Of course the answer to that question is "yes and no." :) And to me, your reasoning makes sense except - I did not give you al...

A question for the hardcore JauntePE users
A question for the hardcore users, i.e., those of you that understand how JPE's redirection mechanism works. As you might remember, I modified JPE a while back concerning the use of the %userprofile% special folder #40 within the file system redirection sections. The mod put in place was to ignore b...

well it proof some users learn through gui first before reading the help text/readme. i am did miss the big "OR" in the help tab.Sorry bout that. Nothing to be sorry about. I've added an OR to the gui as well. It should have been in there in the first place. yes, that's also great idea. Using radio...

I would like to be able to keep a base storage dll for building/upgrading most launchers, but also to be able to override that dll for some specific builds. Override with an older version? That won't work. The launcher and jpe dll must be of the same version. So an 030 launcher won't work with an 0...

@ Settings/Set launcher's icon to launch application's icon change to: Set launcher icon to use application icon How about "Use the application icon as the launcher icon"? Anyway, it'll be changeable if you still don't like that. @ Settings: Location of the JauntePE runtime dll... add button to "Co...

Thank you all for the feedback and interest. I'm shooting for something any JPE user can use, novice or expert, as long as they are a normal or better PC user. I'm guessing by the setup that you will not have to manually drag the .dll's into the portable app folder anymore. Yeah, I'm giving it as mu...

JauntePE 0.3.0 "Build Portable" GUI feedback req
Hey guys. I'm finally getting close to finishing up the testing and docs for the 0.3.0 version. And I could use your feedback on the gui for a new "build portable" utility. 030 replaces the launchpad with a set of small utility apps. The purpose of "build portable" is to only create new, and update ...

Avidemux also works here w/o problems using JPE 030. It doesn't use the registry so I suspect it will work fine with other JPE versions as well. GTK does use app data and Avidemux does create a user profile subdirectory though. Here's the file system settings I used to make it portable. I set up the...

Now that i have tried the same setup with version 1.8 i find the same problems you have. So it looks like the updates have broken blocknotes portability for now ( i Guess when i get around to it i might have a fresh attempt and tweak the .ini file. I think it's a bug in JPE. Although the BlockNotes...

Buckster, I made a second version of unlockdir a bit after I made the first one. The second one doesn't prompt with a list of files to be unlocked, it just attempts to unwind the special file system pathing that lockdir creates. If you want to try it out, you can download the second version at http:...

As I posted above, BTW, I've since emailed the author of the skinning library and he confirmed what I had posted. So the VCLSkin author, Mr. Kevin Pan, says otherwise. Would the...
