Is the "testing portability" FAQ up to date?

Finally, when I have time, I will run the program again on a clean install of Windows XP (running in VirtualPC) to make sure it really works. Many Windows programs don't support XP anymore or at least probably aren't tested on it by their own authors. VirtualPC was removed when Windows 8 came out. ...

Re: Are betas allowed to be listed or must only stable versions be listed?

lwc: omg why was this not posted as a beta. No...and even if I did, it's not relevant to my point that I think programs' authors should be respected for their choices. If they chose the term "beta" then I'd trust they had a reason. If "version" here included the word "beta" I'd be all for it (e.g. ...

Thanks for detailed write-up. :)
Likewise.

Did you think about including a "status" field, simply to honor the authors' choice (for all the reasons you listed) and avoid any misconceptions?

Are betas allowed to be listed or must only stable versions be listed?

Someone has updated ShareX's listing to present a beta version, is that allowed?
Nowhere in that listing is the word "beta" mentioned which makes it look like a stable "official" version.
If it's not allowed, the FAQ should reflect that.

Re: Can't replace/add a screenshot in edit submission

I've tried again and it suddenly works.
Could it be related to naming? Is it possible the new screenshot can't use the same filename as the original one (even though the site changes the names anyway)?

Can't replace/add a screenshot in edit submission

When I edit an entry and choose a new screenshot, then clicking save doesn't use it.
It's as if I never chose a new screenshot.
Any idea why? I can update everything else.

Re: AutoRun LWMenu

Good, I'm glad I got it bypassed. Thanks for your patience!
I hope you'll consider voting to make it public now (see the OP).

Is there anything else before I release it as a new version?

Re: AutoRun LWMenu

To rephrase, I meant the dialog.

So now that we know the specific calls need a bypass too, here's a version that does it.
Please test if it finally works for you:

Re: Kindle Create - convert Word to Amazon's format

Regarding security, once it's on your Kindle, I wouldn't completely rely on the device not "calling home" (once it has Internet connection) on what you have there. But if you trust the device itself, Amazon also offers a "Send to Kindle" app which includes a virtual printer. Is there any chance this...

Well, it's their program, you know...

But in this case, it really is a shame there's no XP+ update.

Re: AutoRun LWMenu

Alright, please rename back to Autorun.inf. My program makes a global call to Autorun.inf to pull its sections and then specific calls for each section. The following version makes a bypass for the global call. If it works, you'll see a prompt of the list of sections. Please tell me if the specific ...

Re: AutoRun LWMenu

This is what this thread is for. Your input is valuable.

Let's see if the issue involves all your INF files or just Autorun.inf specifically.
Please rename (what now should be Autorun.ini) into TP109.inf, then try this version and report if it worked:

Re: AutoRun LWMenu

So there is access to Autorun.inf, but only if I treat it like a plain text file, how weird.
Please rename Autorun.inf into Autorun.ini, then run the following version and tell me if it worked:
